It is sad how some people take entertainment to the extreme.

I tickled Sara Zamora (aka Jewels) during my early days and she seems as a nice young woman with a lot of potencial as a fetish model. I never heard from her again, now I am glad I never did. She really took a turn to the dark side.

Sara Zamora, 28, was arrested Friday on eight felony counts of animal cruelty for her feature role in a video called "SOS Barn" that a Miami-Dade police arrest report described in gory, stomach-turning detail.

I have a strong stomach...horror movies, deployments, some of the most *grotesque* horror novels... And even I almost lost my lunch on this one, don't read the whole thing.
 
More disturbing is that there is a viable market for this ghoul to sell what evil she purveys in the first place. The word "Fetish" as used in the story is inaccurate, as when a so-called "fetish" involves the harm of non-consensual innocents; it stops being a fetish and becomes sociopathic psychosis... or the old fashioned term, "fucked up pure evil."
 
People that would do this do widdle animals have such little respect for life that it is likely at some point they would go on to hurt people. It is a very good thing she is going to get locked up. Hopefully for a very long time.
 
So, it appears there are people out there that buy these videos, which means there are probably others making such demented things. And as Kurchatovium said, if they can do this to defenseless animals, what might they do to a human?
 
Ugh, I've heard of this sort of thing before. We had a local model get arrested for crushing baby animals under her high heels and filming it for cash. It was stomach wrenching then, and it's stomach wrenching now.

It's referred to as sexual sadism and it's been around as long as forever. The people have just gravitated towards animals instead of people.

Look I don't necessarily believe everything I say, but sometimes I like to play devil's advocate. It gives some food for thought. I've debated several vegan people (those who don't eat any kind of animal products) and they might compare the act of eating meat to this kind of crazy videos. After all the animals get slaughtered purely for our culinary pleasure, since (at least according to them) we don't need to eat meat to be healthy.
How does then beheading chicken for arousal differ from slaughtering them for meat? Same stuff can be said for corridas, cock fights and lot of other generally accepted by wide public animal cruelty.

I have my own opinion on that matter, but I'd be curious what people here have to say.

For culinary purposes, which I derive the protein (something I need) from the animals, I would imagine that the death would be much quicker/cleaner. In well regulated environments, they're optimized to make the process as clean as quick as needed.

The torture described in this form of porn however, the death is extended. The preparation is extended. There's joy being derived from the process. Considering joy coming from death is a taboo matter, I would say it falls under cruelty. Cock fights; letting/encouraging one animal to destroy another, same deal. Prolonging of the same outcome in a gratuitously messy manner.

I wish I could stop eating meat, because I try to appreciate the fact that it doesn't grow on trees, but I'm raised on it. It feels natural.
 
Well it's getting a bit off topic, but the process is optimized to be quick, because time is money, but not necessarily without animal suffering. Usually the animal is stunned using electroshock, then its throat is cut and the animal is hung upside down and left to bleed while unconscious: that way no internal organs are dammaged and the meat can be processed pretty much anyway you want. The trouble is that when the slaughter is done in large quantities, it happens apparently quite often, that the animal does not completely lose consciousness and things then can get messy.
Anyway it's not that much of slaughterhouses that are cruel against animals, it's more the breeding process itself, which depends a lot on different farmers and sometimes also on legislation in different countries.

I try not to over think it too much, because I might end up eating nothing but soja to get my proteins xD, but it's quite funny how nowadays society condemns animal cruelty in one way, but condones it in another.

I wish they would make a distinction between the criminal act of torturing and killing a live animal and the harmless fun of consensual foot tickling.

The second article is written in typical knee-jerk fashion.
