Michael Jackson trial... guilty or no ??

ticklingfeet4fu said:
Now this is to those that say he is not guilty. Why in an interview with Mike Wallace did Michael Jackson say there was nothing wrong with a 41 year old man sleeping with an a 11 year old boy? Please explain that. Those words came from Michael Jackson's mouth. Why in the same interview is he holding an 11 year old boy's hand? That was not his child. One more question to think about. If you need a babysitter and Michael Jackson is your next door neighbor are you going to ask him to watch your 8 year old boy for a few hours? If this was your child, how would you feel toward Michael Jackson? It is something to think about. Notice that I have not said he is guilty or innocent in this thread. I would like to get your thoughts and opinions on these questions. I have a 12 year old boy btw and if it were my child? Jackson would not be on trial. I would be. I would be on trial for murder though.

You've made some interesting points. I'd like to work with one of them. Even if Michael Jackson is acquitted, everyone knows he's one sick hombre. Why would a parent allow their child exclusive opportunity to be with him alone? You've said you wouldn't do it, and neither would I. Why did they?

I think there's enough guilt to go around for everyone. I find Michael's entire family guilty of allowing him to be sick for so long and not have the guts to call him out and get him help. Things didn't have to get this bad, but they were too busy pimping him until he basically lost his mind. I mostly find guilty the parents of the kids allowed to stay overnight at Neverland. The man already had a reputation, why would you let your kids stay there? It's like allowing an alcoholic to bartend! The temptation is just too much. But if you're sending your kids there looking to tempt him into a payoff or civil lawsuit, they're no more than pedophile pimps. They would've done it to anyone else, but Jackson's weaknesses were too easy of a mark to pass up. The parents should be ashamed of themselves.

Micheal Jackson's the poster child for Peter Pan syndrome. He's chronologically 46 years old, but he's eternally pre-adolescent. I don't see enough evidence that a court of law has to convict him. All of the prosecution witnesses were schmucks that were out for revenge, money, or fame at Jackson's expense. He may have done it, but he won't get convicted for this one. OJ got acquitted with a helluva lot more evidence against him.

Also, why would he pay 23 million dollars to to a family to keep them quiet, if he was innocent the first time around?

They should have convicted him the first time then! There are no do-over's! They can't come back with basically no sound evidence and convict him for the fact they didn't do it 12 years ago.

Get better evidence and better witnesses, then convict him. If not, they have to let him go. I personally think he may have done it in 93, but I don't think he did this one. They should've gotten it right the first time.

This is a sick society. I mean you go to church to for religion but there are ministers who have taken advantage of little children. We send our children to school and yet teachers and principals and Superintendents have taken advantage of them. We don't think of pay-offs in everyday life( or at least I don't ). Must we believe that these people sent there kids there for a pay-off? Are we that corrupt a society that we would do this to our own children? I mean if we are then we are just as bad as the criminals who break the laws to begin with. :wow:

I've covered this in a prior post so I won't repeat myself. I would just like to point out that sleeping with a kid and molesting a kid are two completely gigantic differences. It seems to me that most here seem to think they are one and the same. And as far as holding a kid's hand that wasn't his, I've seen several athletes and celebrites do the same (Britney Spears and Shaq to name a couple), and I've even seen Sarah Michelle Gellar hug a kid that wasn't hers (lock her up!) simply because they are famous and children and adults want to be around them. That doesn't make the guy a criminal. It's called public relations when you are a celebrity. You can't (or shouldn't) shun the public because you realize without the public there are no celebrities.

I guess we will just have to let the jury decide if he's guilty. Regardless of the verdict most people already have him convicted simply because they just don't like the guy.

Holding an 11 year old boy's hand that is not your child in your own home while doing a public interview is not Kosher. You can't deny that. There is a difference between being a public figure and a public and private child offender. But then maybe you don't have children to understand that holding a child's hand during an interview is wrong. I love my 12 year old son very much. All I was thinking is what if that were my child. I would kill him. Btw, I don't believe Sarah Michelle Gellar is up on charges for inappropriate behavior. Don't you find it a bit strange that it is done in his house. That is not public relations. As far as shunning the public, they should not. But I don't recall Sarah Micheele Gellar inviting an 11 year old to her bedroom either.

I hear you my friend and points well taken. And you are absolutely correct, SMG has not (to our knowledge) taken a 11 year old to bed. But even if she had would that automatically make her a molester? No. A little strange perhaps - and I'm sure Freddie Prinze wouldn't be too happy about it lol - but it wouldn't make her a criminal until she was proven to have done any wrong.

Point well taken. But if you are constantly being accused of doing something inappropriate wouldn't you go out of your way to avoid doing something like holding a child's hand during an interview to prove you aren't doing anything criminal?

You are right. I know if I were him I certainly wouldn't set myself up like he has with his own behaviour. My contention is that he still hasn't been proven guilty of molesting anyone. He might be 'suspected' and as I said earlier, most people just don't like the guy anyway and think he's a freak. They want him hung regardless.

Michael's just always been child friendly. He always has been. Just because you like kids that doesn't make you a molester. Showing kids love and affection isn't a crime. You can't send someone to prison for that because it isn't a crime.

If someone has proof he's molested anyone I say let him rot and throw away the key!! But until then, I still say the guy is innocent.

I agree with you completely. I never said he was innocent or guilty. I am bringing up questions that I think are legitimate questions. I love children too but I would never sleep in the same bed as he admits to doing.

Do the math any which way you want and it will all equate to the the same.

We had a situation in my city about 5 yrs ago when a 14 yr old boy was having an affair with a school principal. The mother knew about it and blackmailed the principal instead of involving authorities until the money ran out. She pimped her kid knowing what was really going on with her own child. Unfortunately, it happens regularly and it's happening in the MJ case.

That is an unbelievable story. I can't believe a parent could do such a thing. I know I could not do that.I am simply shocked  . The mother I hope went to jail. She deserved to as well as the principal.

Mother and older brother were arrested, principal lost her job and got placed on probation. I have no idea what happened to the kid. They were all a pathetic bunch! :Grrr:
