She wrote an autobiography back in 2010 titled All Things At Once. On page 166 she talks about bringing her kids to work and that when she would anchor the CBS Evening News sometimes her kids would hide under the desk and tickle her feet while she read the news.

I agree that this is a great find.

However, I feel this is total BS on her part. I find it very hard to believe that this woman would want (and more importantly be allowed) to have her kids under the desk while delivering the news on air to millions of viewers. Imagine if one of them suddenly just popped up during her broadcast and announced something like "Mommie, I have to go pee pee." I just don't think she's being truthful in this regard. Maybe her kids tickled her feet while she was working at her work desk writing up the news she was going to read when she went on air, but I doubt it happened as she stated in her book. I think she used a little literary license in this case.
