I thank everyone for their continued support, she was very peaceful this morning after such a hard few months. The whole family made it there and was by her side as she went.

Christmas time is a different atmosphere when a loved one passes so close to this holiday season. I know. I lost my Grandfather on the twenty first of December in 2003.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you find a measure of comfort this seaon. She was loved and will be missed. But she is at peace, now. That is what matters.
 
Your mom will always be remembered with the deepest feelings of love and respect by those that were closest to her. Though I'm very sorry that she was taken from you, I'm thankful that her departure was a peaceful one, and that she is finally free of her suffering.

I lost my Dad just a few months ago, and though I thought I was prepared, I was nonetheless devastated.

I know how you're feeling right now Judy...

I was there when my mother died and it wasn't easy to see her go. My thought are with you and your family.

When she died, I wrote this as a part of my environmental column inwhich I dedicated one column to her

"As she was dying, I was with her and had the chance to reflect and remember all that we had been through and what we meant to each other. Thinking of her as I looked out her hospital window at the starry sky, I knew that one of those stars would be hers. I knew that she would be up there to comfort me and to help guide me. When the final moment came, she gave me the memory of her walking up a far away hill, stopping at the top for a brief moment to turn and wave goodbye to me one more time, then walking down the other side. I will always cherish that."​

I am emotionally with you

I am most of the time silent here and I dont know you neither am I ur friend.However we share a relationship of humanity and perhaps that was the reason that as soon as I read this post my mood went totally down.

I lost my mother 2 1/2 years ago after a long bout with a rare form of cancer.Knowing she would eventually succomb to her illness and be going to a better place,it still didn't stop the pain in my heart nor the tears from my eyes.You will be in my thoughts and my prayers.My sympathy goes to you and your family.
 
My heart goes out to you and your family. Its hard losing one so close as your mom. May she rest in peace.
 
You, your family, and your mom are in my thoughts. I can't imagine what you all are going through, and hope I don't have to find out for a very long time.

Hopefully you all will get some peace being able to at least be by her side. She knows you were there for her.

Judy, I am deeply saddened by your loss, but know that heaven has gained another angel. Always remember she will be there always inside you and her spirit will never die. Know that she is in a better place, free of pain. She is free, sitting beside the Father.

Let your tears be tears of joy, happy that she lived a long life, and a full one at that. celebrate her life, the only way you know how

Be of good cheer, for the best words to hear is the Father saying "Well Done, good and faithful servant". She is hearing that right now
