Hi, I don't know whay I'm saying this but my mom is on a ventalator and I just need to tell someone. I don't know what to feel right now because it's been good and bad every day. Now it seems worse. She looked horrible. I was with my Aunts tonight and had a bit of fun looking at pictures from way back when, it was pretty comical. She doesn't seem tobe giving up but I'm not sure how long this will last.

Didn't want to depress anyone just wanted to vent a bit I guess. Thanks.

Awwwww. Damn. Sorry to hear that. You got my well wishes and hopes for the best. :redheart:

And about venting... don't know about anyone else... but I don't mind it a bit. Isn't that what friends are for? Last time I checked we're pretty much all family here.

Sending you hugs... :twohugs:

I know excatly what you're going through my friend. My mother was on a ventilator when she had a stroke, which lasted a week before she died. My heart is with you and please feel free to pm me anytime.

As Mz C said....that is what friends are for....If you cant post your feelings HERE...where can you...?...

My prayers are with your mom for a full and speedy recovery.....

Sorry to hear that, Scooby. She (and you and your family) will be in my prayers. It's never easy to see someone you love suffer. Vent all you need to. We're here for you.

Ann

You should definitely feel free to vent, hope it helps - I'm sure many more thoughts & prayers are with you, even if they're not posted -

I'm very sorry to hear this, Scooby, my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with your mom for a speedy recovery. Hopefully she will be off the ventilator, and breathing on her own very soon, and on her way to a full recovery.

Mitch

Scooby, I don't really look at it as venting, I consider it stress release and also sharing with those here so that prayers can be offered for your Mom, you and your entire family. Hope you can in some way get some strength from knowing that everyone here is supporting you in thought, prayer, and concern. But like has been said, vent anytime you feel a need.

Sorry to hear that Scooby, your ma will be in our thoughts and prayers.

i don't know you..but i'm so very sorry..i'll hope for a speedy recovery..i know exactly what you are going through..and never apologize for venting..that's what we are here for..to vent to and to support you when the need arises..i'll keep your mom in my thoughts and also my prayers..hang in there hon...it's tough i know..believe me i know..

Sorry to hear this, Scooby. I know what you're going thorugh, my mom was on and off oxygen for the last months of her life before she passed on early this year. It's very hard to see. I wish you guys the best.

thoughts are with you, I share in your emotions as my mom is battling pancreatic cancer right now. Emotions are always day to day with family and serious medical issues.

Best wishes to you Scooby. JPie1 too.
Any update on your mom JPie1 ??

Thanks Everyone

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, means alot. JPie, I wish you the best and I'm very sorry to hear. Again, thanks to all of you.

Bummer, Scoob. To allude to what Venray said, you have friends here, and that's what friends are for.

Keep your chin up.

Thank you all but...

She actually passed away yesterday. I'd like to thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers, but the inevitable couldn't be prevented. Thanks again folks.

Sorry for your loss. My mother passed away last month. She had liver problems which caused other problems that eventually took her life. I am comforted in the fact that my brothers and sisters and I made the right decision by opting for long term care instead of Hospice. Even though she was in "persistent vegetative state", she did come to for a few minutes and made communication with me and my sister before she passed away. If we would have ended Mom's life earlier, we would have always been wondering 'what if'. At least we got to tell Mom we love her and let the Good Lord call her home.

We, too, went on the emotional roller coaster ride. Although we were sad to see Mom leave us, we are glad She is no longer suffering.

Peace be with you, my friend, and God Bless you and your family.

Ray
