The Cowboys were widely mocked and ridiculed for sending a 1st round pick to Oakland for Amari Cooper. Looks like Jerry Jones might have the last laugh.

Watching the Bears defense last night was anyone else taken back to 1985?

In the 1st quarter of the Ravens-Chiefs game, Mahomes threw a strike to Demarcus Harris while looking the other way.

Since being named interim head coach in Cleveland Gregg Williams has matched the number of wins (3) that Hue Jackson put up in three years.

Memo to Belichick- Gronkowski=safety=bad idea.

The Steelers have lost three in a row. Mike Tomlin has been head man there a long time. Is his seat getting a little warm?

Three days after he was fired the Packers let McCarthy come back to address the team. Pretty classy move on their part.

The Raiders fired Reggie McKenzie. General Managers, like coaches, are hired to be fired.

Can anyone tell me why Mark Sanchez is on an NFL roster?

We have all noticed the number of missed field goals and extra points this season. As a group, NFL kickers are on pace for their worst season since 2010.

Not only are kickers having a rough go of it this year, but referees are not having a good year either.

Two weeks ago the then 9-1 Chiefs faced the 9-1 Rams on national television. The NFL was so worried about losing face that they put together an all-star officiating staff. There have been so many (obvious) calls missed and so many phantom calls made that it's bordering on insane.

A few weeks ago, a referee was fired post-game for missing an obvious false start that resulted in the play being a touchdown. It was the first such mid-season firing during the modern era.

The regular refs are looking much like the replacement refs a few years ago.

A few thoughts in reply. To defend the Gronkowski decision, I think he was in the game to defend a possible hail mary, since he's huge and could swat the ball away. He definitely wasn't supposed to be chasing anyone lol.

If the Steelers lose this week, I think there's going to be a few hot seats in Pittsburgh. I don't think they will though, I actually think they'll take care of the Pats.

I'm gonna try to limit the political stuff with this, but there's no reason why the Redskins shouldn't have signed Kaepernick. Mark Sanchez before he was pulled in the 3rd Qtr, went 6/14 for 38 yards, threw 2 ints with one being a pick-six, and had a 0.0 QB rating. You're telling me Kaepernick couldn't have done better than that? What free agent QB out there is better than him?

Sam Bradford maaaaybe on a good day is better, but that's a big maybe.

Jay Gruden said that Kaepernick didn't really fit the system. When you're down 40-0 in the 3rd Qtr on your home turf against the New York Giants, YOU HAVE NO SYSTEM!!!!!

Also, in the past month, the Redskins have made moves that totally negate the biggest reasons given for Kaepernick not being signed.

1. He hasn't played since 2016:
Well neither has Mark Sanchez who the Skins signed a couple weeks ago. And up until this past Sunday, his last start was in 2015. Then there's Josh Johnson who they also recently signed and is now slated to start this coming Sunday. Up until he came in for Sanchez this past Sunday, he hadn't thrown a pass in the NFL since 2011. His last meaningful pass was during Obamas first term, and before Kaepernick even came into the league.

2. Too much baggage: Reuben Foster had tons and tons of baggage, yet the Redskins scooped him up pretty damn quickly. And when they picked him up, they knew that he wasn't gonna contribute on the field at all this season.

Also, Eric Reid is basically the 2nd in command when it comes to the protests, ans he's currently playing for the Carolina Panthers. And there was no big fan revolt or blowback over his signing.

The officiating has been abysmal this year. The NFL needs to fix this, and fast.

True, but as has been pointed out given the shoulder problems Tannehill has been having he wasn't likely to throw the ball 50-60 yards.

I hate the Steelers but Sunday I'll be cheering them on. Any team that beats the Evil Empire is okay in my book.

Yep. Can't disagree with any of this.
