More ticklish?!?!?!?!

Ok, so I been MIA for a while. Had a lot going on. I lurk on and off though!

I have always been off the charts ticklish but now im more ticklish (i think).... Its crazy.

Can being pregnant make someone more ticklish?

Possible. I heard that the circulation improves during pregnancy. That could make you more ticklish. By the way, congrats. 🙂

Why don't you just ask if it's possbile that your skin got more sensitive. You don't have to mention being ticklish. 🙂

I saw a report years ago on a local news station about tickling. They claimed that some extremely ticklish girls were no longer ticklish after being sexualy active. They did say that some women that became pregnant found they were seriously ticklish due to a hightened sensitivity.

I've seen it both ways. Known girls that were ticklish untill they got pregnant. I've also known girls that weren't untill they got pregnant.

As for the increased ticklishness, it could be partly hormonal changes too. I know I'm finding the hormonal changes of perimenopaus to be pretty interesting. Those who know me know that I've generally been able to control my reactions when I want to. But, some days, I'm so off the charts hyper that I couldn't control them to save my life. It's been rather fun, actually! Who says it's all bad?! 😀

From a purely evolutionary standpoint, it could be built in to organisms to have heightened defensive sensitivity during pregnancy to protect gestating life. Think of the toxic molecular acid squirting out when they tried to remove the alien impregnator thingie from John Hurt's face.

I've heard that sex is often better when a woman is pregnant, and they say your sense of smell improves drastically, so maybe your senses are just heightened in general. Maybe it's an evolutionary thing - your more aware of things so you can protect the baby. At any rate, congrats!!
