Morning paper blues

I PAY to have my morning paper delivered, every day, to my doorstep. I count on it. However, more times than not.... I open the door to find NOTHING!!! Yes, my inconsiderate neighbours are picking it up before I do, and its pi&%ing me off!! I"ve had just about enough of it, without cancelling my subrscription to say this outside my door:

"The next CO$& SUCKER that steals my paper will receive a FORK in his eye!"

Maybe I'm over reacting

I live in a buliding with over 60 apartments. I used to subscribe to Baseball Weekly which was delivered to my mailbox by the USPS every Wednesday. That was fine.

One week they changed the delivery system to having a private courier put it in the lobby of the building. From that point on, I actually received it about 20% of the time, and it was stolen by my neighbors about 80% of the time. I wrote them about it, and got no satisfaction. (No change back to the USPS, and no refund.)

I resisted the urge to kill my thieving neighbors. (Actually, I never was able to determine which of them was taking it.)

Obviously, I do not subscribe to anything that will be delivered in that manner any more.

I appreciate your words, Mils. I'm still in the heat of frustration here.... it just really ticks me off! I guess I'll have to cancel and use the coin dispensor thingy

Could you be there, behind the door one morning, ready to catch them in the act? Scare the crap outta them, and maybe they'll lose their "Sticky Fingers"

when that happens, i call the newspaper company and they hand deliver it to me within 30 minutes. let it become annoying for them too.

If you lived in the UK, the neighbours would have to break into your house to steal your newspaper, as they are posted through the letterbox and land on your door mat. 🙂
