Movies

I don't think Mass Effect, Fallout, and Elder Scrolls would lend themselves well to movies. People like to play them because they can make choices that affect the story, so making a movie would take that freedom away.

As for Elder Scrolls, I was thinking make it like that one episode of South Park where they were playing “W.O.W”.

Maybe have a Knight [or swordsman] teaming up with a rogue with a heart of gold and a mage [the three main classes] to take on evil or [and I know it been done to death, but] maybe go on an epic quest [spanning a few DVD's] to save a princess.

As for Mass Effect and Fallout, I really haven't given them to much thought yet.

Oh. I forgot two "Mass Effect" [1 or 2] and any "Saints Row"

Actually, Mass Effect has been in pre-production for some time.. Not sure when or if they'll ever actually go into production. Here's the IMDB link:

Is there really going to be a live action Halo movie made?

Halo is similar to Mass Effect with the pre-pro, but actually got to a point with Peter Jackson and WETA where it nearly went into production.. Here's an interesting story about it on IMDB:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0464037/

When Guillermo del Toro left the running, Peter Jackson settled on the novice Neill Blomkamp for director. Blomkamp worked to exhaustion for five months preparing the project, which went as far as constructing props and costumes and producing short Halo-themed films as test footage. The project then collapsed. Jackson allowed Blomkamp a free reign in choosing a new project, which led to District 9. Although Blomkamp is still "creatively interested" in Halo, he does not wish to return to the project after working on it for so long and watching it collapse.

...and really, if you've seen District 9, there is some influence from Halo. I'd certainly like to see Peter Jackson take a stab at directing it himself... I think he'd be perfect for it.

As far as what else I'd like to see done:

-A film based on R. A. Salvatore's Drizzt Do'Urden books.

-A film on the Sunset Strip/Hollywood rock bands of the 80s.. some of the party stories I've heard of from that overindulgent era could be hilarious if done right. I'd love to see a film done on Guns N' Roses and some of the crap they pulled, but that will never happen as long as Axl Rose lives.

-Another Joss Whedon "Firefly" film. Tragic how that series was canceled...

Just a few of many ideas... A Zelda or Elder Scrolls film could have potential too, though LOTR and the upcoming Hobbit films are going to be hard to live up to
