I'm just wondering....
Talons, did you actually have the opportunity to pass the clip up? Was it actually labeled properly?
It would seem to me that if you were actually told ahead of time (before paying for and downloading the clip) that you were only going to receive 2 1/2 minutes of material before it was repeated, then there would be no valid reason to be upset.
However, if I am reading your post correctly, it seems to me that until you complained, the downloads were not labeled with this information.
I've gotta say, I would have to agree with Talons if he received no warning whatsoever that the new clips contained repetition of filming material. If I paid for it, I would expect to get what I paid for.
I mean... if you paid $7.50 to go to a movie and all they did was play the same sequence over and over just at different angles, how long would it take for you to get your butt up and go to the AMC window asking for your money back?
(some of you would even try to get a refund on your popcorn
😛)
Now there may be one or two people who think.... "WOW! Cool!" But most people want to get the product that they paid for without excuses and deception.
And besides the split screen idea, which may be pricy.... I don't know.... The offering of both (regular clips, and repeat streaming clips as Libtik suggested) is a pretty good idea of a solution to me. That way you keep making money from the people who love the "new" idea, and the people who hate it.
In my opinion, unless I am watching the Matrix... seeing the same scene at different angles over and over just sucks. And not being properly told ahead of time that it is what I am purchasing is simply dishonest advertising.
