I didn't know humans were allowed to have such a great time!!! My son got married to the love of his life this past Saturday.
It was SUCH a fabulous day. We had perfect weather, great food, a real yummy cake that people kept going back for more and the dance floor was never empty. My nephews were dancing with her grandmothers. My ex-hubby was dancing with my mom while I was dancing with a co-worker of my sons. One of my brothers was dancing with the Flower Girl. And the two ring bearers were break dancing! You couldn't tell where my family ended and their family began because everyone intermingled. To see an 87 year old grandmother up dancing the YMCA song and then leading a conga line was just fabulous. My step-mom came with her new husband and they both danced with just about everyone there. And then we all got out on the floor for the Hokie Pokie! Everyone said it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding including the DJ who told us he would gladly come back and play for us anytime we had a party for nothing just so he could hang around this crazy group.
It was just a gorgeous day. When I toasted the bride and groom I told her and her parents that if I could have hand picked the bride and her family for my son to marry that I would have picked her and them. They are such an incredibly wonderful family and I feel truly blessed that my son married their daughter.
This entire year has been filled with more joy, blessings and excitement than any person could ever dream of.
A great big Thank you to Danimal for coming to my home and staying with the doggies while I tended to the wedding. You are SUCH a love to do that for me.
So now I'm going to get some rest, get refreshed and I'll be back on this board lots more in the near future.
