There are times when even I am at a loss for the right words. Today was such a day as I became aware of the devastating and cowardly acts committed upon the fine people of London.
Although I was born in Scotland and travelled to America, I still have family in England around the Liverpool and Stafforshire areas. Also, there is a section of my being that will always be reserved for the culture, heart and soul of the Great Island.
My adoptive and home nations have always shared a bond of brotherhood, friendship, commerce and commeraderie. Unfortunatley, today, we also share a bond of blood.
My thoughts and prayers go out in abundance to those affected by this despicable act. Those killed will always be rememberd, those injured are in our every thought and to a nation in grief, remember that you have friends.
On September 11th, it was said by many that on that day "We are all Americans". On July 7th, we are all Britons and we will stand together when this senseless violence is finally brought to an end.
To my friends across the pond (especially Jim and Red from my own circle of dear friends) I give you my deepest sympathies and strongest hope for the future.
