I have often wondered why many sites will list "mainstream" tickling or "mainstream" feet scenes. Usually these scenes are mere seconds in length, while a tickle video is about an hour long. Why make such a fuss about a 6 second clip that usually doesn't even figure a ticklish actress? I came to realize that it takes place in the "real" world, or it is done in the context of a movie, so we get to know the person before they are tickled. I think the video companies should use this fact in some of their videos and/or pictures they post on their website. To give you an example, if you think about the most exciting foot picture, you may think of a magazine ad. We don't get to know the lady by her voice, but since a picture tells a thousand words, we get to know her by the setup, and her outfit and expression on her face. Maybe this is my sole opinion, but I think a lot of others may share this. Scan the web for feet, pantyhose or tickle pictures. Most have the same pose, the same outfits, and it gets boring after a while. 90% or more of feet and/or pantyhose pictures show a woman with her legs spread eagle showing her crotch and her feet sticking up in the air, or some derivation thereof. I haven't done the exact calculations, but I'm sure it would be a litte more than 90% of ALL pictures you will find on various sites, groups, what have you. Which means, if you guys do something different, you'll stand out. But let me give you some examples of what I'm talking about. One of the best pictures I have ever seen came from a "Sound and Vision" magazine. It shows a woman who appears to have just gotten home from work, is wearing a skirt and dress shirt, and has kicked off her heels and has her pantyhosed clad feet resting in front of her. She has this satisfied expression on her face and is watching the television that is being advertised. I never got a chance to buy that magazine, but that one picture would be worth it. Imagine that same look on her face, same setup, but a guy or lady tickling her feet with a feather, (and you could have one with her head cocked back in joyous laughter.) Sort of like, that is her way to relax after a hard day's work. Wouldn't that be a wonderful, award winning photo set! We get to know her just by the set of pictures, and she doesn't have to have her foot merely thrust into the camera with the usual disgusted or distracted look on her face that many models have. I saw another with a bride with her legs crossed and with one shoe on and one pantyhosed foot crossed over the other leg, reaching to get another shoe. Another was a lady sitting in a chair next to her bed, resting her feet on the bed. The natural look would be something that few try, and might pique much interest. Any other opinions, other ideas...?

On the issue of the appeal of mainstream scenes, I have a couple of thoughts. I am a HUGE fan of them, and two of the things that appeal to me are this: 1) they quite often feature celebrity ticklees; and 2) they are almost always unexpected, and when you suddenly see someone getting tickled in the middle of the movie you're watching it's a quick, spontaneous buzz. There's also something enjoyable about seeing our passion expressed in a more real world context that I can't quite put my finger on. That's just my two cents, for what it's worth.
A Tip for Video Companies
I'd like to pick up on another point that Tklr5150 makes on why people are so into mainstream scenes:

EXCELLENT point! I recently purchased RealTickling's "Ticklish Merchandise," which I'd heard nothing but praise about. Frankly I was dissappointed. I'd already seen Dr. Baynes, which got mediocre reviews, and liked it much better. Why????
Because as I watched Ticklish Merchandise, I thought "Who Cares??" They tell us the victim is the mayors daughter, but we know absolutely nothing else about her. I bought it hoping to see a "deserving" victim get tickled, but if she is supposed to be some haughty princess, snob, etc., we don't see any of it. To really enjoy it, I needed to SEE her being mean, evil, snotty, or whatever. I need to know something about her and see it in action.
Then I thought she was suppoed to "turn the tables" on her ticklers, but what happened? Nothing. Sure, the beautiful Kristin Lea is tied up and tickled, but not by the victim. And we never see her getting away, never see her overpowering her ticklers, never see nothing. It's a totally separate scene, unrelated to what I'd just watched.
I need plot. I need to "know" the ticklee in order for it to be worthwhile. The real plot of this video was "Cute girl you don't know gets tickled good by other people you don't know."
Contrast this with Dr. Baynes. Although the girl that gets the most screen time is a real woofer, at least she shows some of the bad attitude that's supposed to have gotten her there. Ditto for the cute girl, who comes second. There's enough of a plot that it's fun and interesting, even though the models aren't nearly as attractive or the tickling nearly as good as in Tickling Merchandise.
In short, Plot Matters. We know these aren't emmy-winning actresses, but a little effort would be appreciated. They certainly put a lot of effort into the tickling part, so after that it should all be downhill.
I think RealTickling is still the best of the best (though I've not yet seen any Magic Touch vids...my mind's open!. They have beautiful models who are clearly ticklish, great ticklers, good production quality, and their people are very professional to deal with and discrete. I obviously have a lot of praise for RealTickling, and there are many more wonderful things I COULD say. But for ALL the video makers out there, I just have one suggestion: Let us get to know the character so that we'll have a reason to care. It's the single reason why we are still obsessing about Daisy Duke and Charlies Angels 20 years later... Work with me people, work with me.

Another point is, tickling is an abnormal event in a normal world. I think that the video companies can capitalize on this and make some really kick ass videos. Check out www.legsandheels.com for some examples. It features dangling and "natural" poses that has a sense of excitement, like you could really see that. I will never, ever see a beautiful girl tied in a set of stocks in my entire life. If I ever did, I will probably try to get her out! But I know that will never happen in real life, so it has a sense of too much artificialality (unless it takes place in the context of a story...) EVENTUALLY, I will write that "Office Tickling" story I had mentioned for that charity tickling idea a while back. To give the folks an idea of what I'm talking aout, lets use a mainstream movie as example. In the old scifi movies, you would see Buck Rogers, or whoever, guy hero in plastic scifi suit on alien planet, which may be attacked by an alien invasion. And it is pretty boring. Why? We will never get to go to that planet, no one wears plastic suits except in movies, nothing is recognizable, who cares!? Now, compare these to Independence Day. ID4 was far superior, though may have needed a deeper story, because it took place in our world, in our time, in recognizable loactions. The ship is really hovering over New York, the White House, locations we all know exist, have seen time and time again, yet it's not normal to see a fifteen mile wide alien spaceship hover over the Empire State Building. The people fleeing in terror from the 70 story tidal wave of fire are wearing real clothes, business suits, t-shirts, have cars and briecases...it's "real!!" Yet, it's not, but it looks so... real! In the last few RealTickling videos, the girls start off in stocks, stay in stocks, for people who like that, it's great, but... Now, what if the girl starts off at work, or at home, in normal clothes, if you want lingerie, she is getting ready for bed, THEN she is trapped in the stocks? Now, we know her, it's more exciting, it's REAL. I think that's why I always liked the office tickling concept, or interrogation concept, because it seems to takes place in the real world, but is in the tickling universe, which looks a lot like the real world. The girl already in stocks...that's just a video. I'm not bashing, please understand, I just think the companies have a lot of potential, and have just begun to harvest it. Once they do, watch out! (It doesn't have to just be office tickling, just an example...my story will only begin in the office...)

I would like to add one thought to this interesting and important discussion.
To me it is not the "reality" of the situation which is critical, it is the "believability". In other words, I don't care if the tickling takes place in NY or in the Delta Quadrant, in an office or in stocks -- what matters is that the set up and the motivation for the tickling makes sense. If we understand the tickling situation, how it came to be, why it makes sense, then the reader or viewer can "suspend disbelief", as they say, regardless of where it takes place.
To me, personnaly, this believability makes much more of a difference in a story (where imagination is almost everything) but it can also enrich a video.
As Bandit said, plot counts.

I think MTPJeff has the best approach. He finds regular girls, not actress wannabe's and washed-up porn stars. There is a pre and/or post tickle interview. The tickling is plot-free. That suits me fine - I want to see tickling and hear laughing.
There are about three lame plots used in tickle vids, and they have all been beaten to death through overuse. For me, they just distract from the video. Those producers who insist on using plots should find some new material. The STORIES section of the Forum would be a good place to start.

Clearly though, plot isn't the most important factor to most of us, even the posters in this thread.
That said though, I am often turned off by weak plots in FM type videos. More than the plots, it's the actress' lack of sticking to character, or as another poster here said, the believability of the reactions that is annoying. Sure, the most important factors of the video are the ticklish reactions of the women, and their attractiveness, but I can't always turn off the movie critic in my head that says the scene is ridiculous.
Jeff's women are perfectly in character for the situation. It's great seeing the natural tendencies of the tickler and ticklee unfold in the safe atmosphere he provides.
I love movies with more meaning and greater character development, and yes the more we care about the character, the more it will affect us when we see her tickled. Look at the threads on tickling Priscilla, perhaps the strongest and most defined character in ticklingdom (my spell checker wanted me to rephrase that as tickling dom ).
One good thing about new plot ideas is the inspiration it gives for greater variety in settings. Novelty is a huge part of our attraction to any video. A new bondage position or tickling technique will drive our curiosities wild. How many of us want to see Jeff’s new video because it features a form of breast and genital tickling we've probably never seen before. I know that though I've tickled a dozen or so women, and could tickle them again tomorrow if I wanted, for some reason I'm more attracted to trying someone new than going back to even a great old session. Tickling itself has an element of surprise that we want to see in our videos.
In most forms of touch our curiosity will never be satisfied. We will always be curious about trying something or someone else, and perhaps going even deeper with what we know already. So goes what we want in our videos. More variety and more depth.
Just my 2 cents, with surprising lack of direction.

This is a great thread! I must say, I completely agree that any video needs to open up with some chance to see the girl behave naturally, UNtickled. Sometimes videos have very long setups which I don't like too much (though Paradise Vision's set ups are actually entertaining and funny sometimes, even though they can be a bit long). I find that I get really sick of the same old plots (always involving torture for some information, or punishment for some minor infraction...like not cleaning the dishes!) and really like it when a "new" twist is brought into the mix....and I must say that The Laffworks has a great set up and alot of Paradise Vision's tapes I think have a good variety of setups, plots and imagination.
I think that Mabus pointed out great stuff as far as poses and situations we encounter in magazines and movies that are as of yet unexploited in the tickling videos. I also like a MIXTURE of bondage and bondage-less tickling so you can see how the girl's (or guy's if that's what you're watching!) body naturally reacts. One of the highlights of Ticklish Merchandise for me is that early in the video she is able to scrunch up her arms when Kristen Lea goes under her armpits, but then later she is completely unable to move them and it completely enhances the video when they tickle her there again in the same spot.
By the way, for the record, I recommend Ticklish Merchandise ENTIRELEY on the performance of the ticklers themselves. They are incredibley sensual, merciless and skillful in their tickling. Though the ticklee is definitley ticklish and cute, she's not really "my type" (meaning blonde! And I love THe Laffworks as well! Another blonde!), but the fingers of Kristen and Pricilla more than made up for plot deficiencies and model drawbacks in my opinion! Anyhow, if you didn't like Ticklish Merchandise on those grounds, I don't think you'll have the same problem with The Laffworks.....the set up is great, you get to see Sara in a variety of situations, costumes and she's one of the best models ever (I think!).
