Suns/Cavs is the final I want to see. It's the final that a lot of people want to see.

I would've liked to have seen that too. (Once my boys went down.) But it wasn't to be. The Cavs...Jazz maybe? That could be kinda fun.

Just a minor set back! ill make up for it in the detroit/cleveland series. cleveland has about as much shot of winning as i do of becoming a liberal. :blaugh:

Money lost. I'm glad the Cavs were able to win, and I hope they make it to the finals, but I just wish the Suns would have won tonight. Hopefully they'll get it done with the team they have because I really want to see them win together. Anyway, there goes the ratings, at least for the Western part of it.

As much as i liked phoenix, my money was on san antonio. look for a detroit/san antonio final with san antonio squeaking out the victory. :idunno:

When are Phoenix and Dallas going to learn that to win a championship you have to play at least some DEFENSE!!!

Memo to those coaches, a 'showtime' team hasn't won since 1988!!!! I'm so glad that both of those teams lost, both Dirk and Nash have shown they are very soft players overall. Nash was horrible last night. The up and down run and gun is of course a lot of fun to watch i'll admit it, but it's also great to see a team totally carve another team up with togetherness, team play and DEFENSE. Dunks and 3 pointers win you a spot on Sportscenter, not championships. Watching a team dig deep, play hard and impose their will on the other team is just as 'sexy' as up and down play. Once your team plays that you'll understand what i'm talking about.

All 4 conference final teams are where they are because of the defense they play. I could care less about ratings, these games will never be on late night again like the late 70's early 80's, so primetime t.v. coverage will never go away.

You know ABC will want the Pistons/Cavs series to go 7 'cause of Lebron. Carlos Boozer could jump to the next level with a great series. I'm really looking forward to watch both of the conf. finals...

GO PISTONS!

P.S.
Dallas and Phoenix will be playing at your local neighborhood gym or playground starting next week if you want to see them play.

Well, I certainly hope you don't have to back up this statement! It's going to be fun watching you convert to liberalism. :shake:

I personally didn't think the Cavs would get past the Nets so I'm already satisfied. Beating Detroit would just ice my already delicious cake! Goodbye Nets, hello Pistons!

thanks tckleguy for summing it up. The Suns went home because they do not have a clue about defense. the Mavericks have better defense, they just dont know how to win in crucial moments yet. that is why they are home.

as for the Suns. you know, up until recently i didnt mind the Suns organization. Then all of the sudden, these guys act like their shit dont stink. Stoudemire proved he is nothing but a big mouth and the rest of the Suns walk around like they are the greatest team in the land. I cant stand their coach Mike D'Antoni. This guy reminds me of Rick Adelman. Just whiny guys who will never win a ring. The problem with D'Antoni is he believe his European style basketball can win it all here in the NBA. Sorry to burst his bubble, but it won't. Unless he comes up with more of a power game, this run and gun and shoot threes all night isnt going to work. There's a reason why they call 3 pointers, "low percentage" shots. They are fun to watch no doubt, but once they run into a team that can play hard defense, they will be exposed as soft marshmallows.

About the Spurs being called a "dirty" team. are you freakin' kidding me? The Spurs dirty? when the hell did they become a dirty team? for YEARS they were known for playing good defense, but they were soft in crucial situations. Their spirit gets broken pretty easily. dirty? Granted, Bruce Bowen gets away with a lot of stuff, but the rest of them? Not even close. It is also funny listening to Suns fans run their mouth about the suspensions. If any of them paid attention, Stoudemire and Diaw were about to join the ruckus until coaches pulled them back. How come the other Suns didnt join them? it was their own faults. What is really hilarious is Horry is being called "dirty", but when Raja Bell tried to take Kobe's head off last year, i didnt see this same kind of outrage. That was a dirty play last year and it was purely intentional. Horry nailed Nash pretty good, but if you remember the situation of the game, the Spurs were going to foul him anyway. Last year, Bell's foul happened with a lot of time left. So Suns fans, shut the hell up about the "injustice" and remember that karma could always come back to get you. The Spurs roughed up your little team and that is why you lost. That is why Laker fans are pissed off about this year's Lakers because we should have used the same tactics and rough the Suns up, but we have a bunch of bitches on our team, not including Kobe Bryant, so we didnt. That is why we are home.

As for the Eastern Conference. The Pistons/Cavs matchup should be fun just because of last year. Good ol' Rasheed "i guarantee" Wallace should be fired up. Lebron is a tremendous talent, but he is going to be the focus of the Piston defense. Can the other Cavaliers step up?

Cleveland wont beat detroit. they are just a one man team.

Oh, the one-man team that's about to play in the finals? Yeah, that one! We've gotten this far, whether we beat Detroit or not is moot IMO. Besides, isn't your home state's team the Celtics? How did they do this year? Oh, I don't recall seeing them in any phase of the playoffs!

And the only Detroit player I ever hear about is ol' ghetto Ben Wallace. I don't even know how he made it to the NBA. Someone must've done his homework for him in college! Let's see if he can make it without the bench-clearing fan fights; he got away with murder at that Pacers game last year. He should've gotten suspended for the rest of the season since he swung first.

Oh, and better check that Cleveland roster again; LeBron isn't the only one that can score points.

Why the hateful attack on the celtics? your hurting my feelings. not! the celtics blow chunks and i hate them anyway. anyway, cleveland will not win this series. they played two of the weaker teams to get there. i wouldnt be surprised if they got swept. :sowrong:

You know what they say about a fool and his money being easily parted, right? Bet away dear......bet away

Lebron is good enough to win a couple games for them, my prediction is Pistons in 6. The experience should win this series alone for Detroit, I hope it doesn't go any farther than that, it'll be fun.

I'm not fooling myself; I never thought the Cavs would pull out and win the series. However, they're not a one-man team; LeBron just makes the most money and gets the most press. This is an experience for Cleveland-it hasn't been that long ago when they were practically paying fans to come and watch the games. LeBron was drafted to Cleveland, he did not want to come here. I couldn't blame him, they sucked in a major way. The team's come a long way and if they get blown out in four games, it's okay with me.

Some people can't understand that; most of the critics and naysayers live in states where there teams haven't been to a playoff game in years.

See, when Lebron doesnt score, they lose.

By 3? A loss is a loss, but they held their own in Detroit. It shouldn't be a surprise if they win this series. Cleveland is a better team than people give them credit for.

I think detroit just had an off game.

Cleveland definitely plays good defense, that's why they made it this far (are you listening Dallas and Phoenix?).

Detroit didn't shoot well at all, they haven't since game 3 of the Bulls series, Clevelands defense was part of that problem no doubt. They also made sure that someone else is going to beat them besides Lebron, that's evident now.

Why 2 full days inbetween games is beyond me, I can't stand this schedule.

I agree. all this schedule is doing is dragging out clevelands demise. :blaugh:

The noose slowly tightens around clevelands neck. another close one though. same exact score too.

Detroit took care of home, hopefully Cleveland will do the same. They came so close in both games and I have a feeling they'll do the damn thing back in Cleveland.

Are the playoffs still going?? It feels like a week since the SA/Utah series played.

They play tonight. I don't know why they're using this type of schedule. They should be playing every other day.

Great win for the cavs, hell of a performance in the clutch by LeBron.
