Hmm... ok, the problem is this:
I now have a 40GB harddrive filled with about 3,20GBs of tickling material... I do not wish to be discovered by non-ticklefetishists and I alone am not quite an expert in handling with computers...
I bought a 160GB new harddrive and I want to get rid of the old one, because it makes alot of noise... Like I said, I'm not good at handling with computers, so I asked my friend to do this... BUT I FORGOT ONE BIG THING!
And that is : How can I store the 3,20GBs of tickling material and not leave a trace of it... I'm scared my friends will find out.
So... any ideas? At first I came up with nothing else, except "Burn to 5 CDs and then cripple the CDs once I've copied the context of them to the new drive after my friend has installed the windows and all the critical stuff...

Boy I'm in a mess... So... any other ideas? It would look suspicious, if I'd "suddenly lose 5 CDs" ... and I'm afraid they'd ask: "Hey, what happened to your CDs? Thought you had them last time I was here?" and if I'd tell him that "I burned some CDs to my friends" , then the next question would probably be what & to whom... and if he'd ask those persons I'd mention... I'd be in some serious shit 😀😀😀 (why the **** am I laughing?)

But... thanks, if anyone has any good suggestions! 🙂

Personally, I transfer everything to CDs and keep it there. CDs can be tucked away in a drawer. Hard drives (unless you pull them out) can't be. It's easy to find stuff on a hard drive if you know what you're doing...no matter how much security and stuff you pile around it.

that is a problem! i am no tech wiz but have you thought of renaming the files temporarily or making them hidden. thats what i do as well as having my user account password protected. i dont know of anything else that would help. sorry

Woohoo!! GOT AN IDEA!! (I got a burning dvd-drive on my computer)
Perhaps I'd burn them there? It'd be swift and well hid ... I mean
3,20gigs to a 4,7gig DVD !! Wow, why didn't I think of this before... stupid me!
I mean ... 1 DVD can EASILY be hid... but those 5 CDs are not so easily hidden... some friend might just say: "Hey I need a pencil... I'll check your drawer for one..." *If I was in the WC at this time or in a different room...*
"Hmm... hey, wtf is this DVD?" -"Ummmm... well... IT'S AN EMPTY DVD!"
"Well why do you keep it here?" -"Umm... well... I don't know."

That was just one prospect of what might happen ... but it's DEFINATELY more secure than 5 CDs... Does it look suspicious, that if someone "accidently" finds 5 stacked CDs "in your closet" and asks you about them and you just say: "Hmm, I don't know what those are." ... wouldn't it leave the other dude askin: "Ok... let's see then! *puts one of the CDs on the comp cd-drive* "Heeyyy... what's this?!? OMG?!!? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?!?"

... I dunno... I'm just... bah... well... I'm so afraid of this shit happening to me. Who wouldn't be? This can happen to anyone of you people. I suggest to be cautious.

"OK... now I know... I'll dig a hole to the ground in some hill and burry them there, no one will ever find them there hehehe" *joke* 😉

It's a bit more involved but here's what I did when I needed to transfer a lot of data from one drave to another...
Put the 40gig drive in as a slave. It's not terribly difficult but if you've never done it before you may want someone to help you. I've done it once (with help) but could probably do it again with no trouble.
Once it's in there you can just drag and drop files from one drive to another.
This way there is no loading and unloading of data to and from discs. It's really fast too.
Then reformat your old drive and hang on to it! Never know when a spare hard drive will come in handy. 🙂

I think I'll hang on to my 1 DVD usage plan ... but thanks for the thought, nessie 🙂
That wasn't a bad idea in fact... but I just think 1 DVD would handle this more appropriately... since the computer registers every move you make, there's no telling what might be "found on the remains" 🙂

Well... thank you all for your comments and I'm sorry for posting here before thinking... I was just stressed, that's all... I guess... 🙂 Have a nice what ever x) (can't say morning/day/evening/night, since the time varies in different locations)

Coolness. If you still want to hang onto your old hard drive there are ways to permanently delete infirmation on it beyond even a reformat. 🙂

the hollywood brother agress with these ideas but the hollywood brother thinks the new bigger hard drive is the way to go

Oh for certain, HB. I've found that it's never a bad idea to have old computer parts kickin around in case you need them. If nothing else it will get you a few bucks on eBay. 🙂

everything is worth something on ebay! expecially computer hardware. i cant tell you all the random things i have found on ebay. but as the saying goes one man/womans trash is anothers treasure

I wonder if I could get anything for the Commodore 64 I have laying around in the closet 😉 It's never been plugged in, as far as I know, but I don't know if it works (I don't have the power supply for it).

Done! All my savings collected on one DVD... ok, anyone willing to make an offer? *just kidding* x)

"Tickling Fetish Starting Packet, low price, get your own!"
hehehh ^^ 🙂
Hmm... gotta get it well hid... :wooha:
