Howdy Folks,

I am going to post some of my artwork here soon. I've been working up the nerve for a while🙂 My work is a lot of real pictures coupled with poser figures, png files, and my own touch. I have a question that I could really use some advice on:

What is erotic about alien tickle scenes? I mean, when you look at a tickle scene what specifically draws you to it? What elements are you looking for in that type of scene? I have my own thoughts, but sometimes I get to far into the work and tend to create things that I fancy for myself instead of the average viewer. If you have time I would really be curious about 'what' specifically would make a hot, gut-wrenching alien tickle series. Then I will get my touche to work on it.

Regards,
Cake

Hi, Cake...

I generally love alien scenarios, even when they're not tickling-centric. It's not like I have some separate erotic pull toward aliens or anything... but it seems that no matter who the author or the artist is, the erotic themes tend to be the same.

Here's my take from a writing viewpoint, but I bet you could apply it to art soon.

The human tendency to grow up believing in the absoluteness of non-absolute conventions such as manners, self-control, and authority serve to enhance the erotic quality of the experiences that threaten to break those beliefs. For example... in reality, there's nothing absolutely wrong (or even very remarkable) about being naked around the opposite sex. But, if you've grown up believing in the kind of modesty that most of Western society shares, and now find yourself in a situation where you're being forced to undress in front of the opposite sex, there will probably be a much greater emotional tumult for you than there would have been without that convention in your upbringing. In situations where this sort of trick is exploited by, or around, someone of the opposite sex (or the same sex if you're homosexual), then there's a great potential for these experiences to manifest themselves erotically.

Of course, for anyone to write about the exploitation of a poor guy or girl in this way requires the author to make up somebody devious enough to actually learn about the inner workings of the victim's mind, to be knowledgeable enough to plan whatever erotic experience the victim will endure, and to carry it out believably. That kind of a character takes a lot of planning on the author's part, and I think is challenging to write believably. On top of that, it might be conceived that such a character would have to be at least somewhat evil, and not all writers are comfortable with that either.

Aliens, however, are stereotypically known for traits that make all this easy. They can use telepathic powers, or advanced technology, to learn about whatever details of the human mind concern them. They're renowned for their desire to experiment on humans, and a psychological or physiological lab of any kind-- is believable. Finally, being such "different" beings than humans, they may or may not have experienced any physical or emotional feelings similar to theirs. Their concepts of "control," "humiliation," "tickling," "erotic," and so on, may be mere variables to them. So, not only could aliens be construed not to be evil in carrying this out, but even well-meaning.

The specific "what" they do isn't the source of the erotic power, but the idea that it's derived from a foundation like that. If you've got that, then I think you have a lot of liberty regarding the actual content. (At least, within the tickling cross-section. You can always link elsewhere if you have other themes.)

Finally, I must emphasize: when you say you "tend to create things that you fancy for yourself instead of the average viewer," I'm immediately much more interested in seeing whatever work you would draw for yourself, and much less in seeing what you would draw because you think that more people would like it. Definitely consider what other people have to say, but if you don't really relate to it, then your selfish work is guaranteed to be better.

Thanks Coda.

The art that I have designed over the years has typically revolved around a female who is secured for either tickling or some sort of orgasm play. Because if aliens did abduct someone we all know that he/she would be tickled🙂 LOL. Seriously though, my biggest weakness in my work has been that I tend to drill down to specifically into one thing (or type of scene) and then decide to go another direction based upon something that inspires me. Translation...certain pieces go on and on and on without completion---I basically get "writer's block" of the artistic kind.

--I tend to like bondage devices that expose the entire body without being grotesque or too gothic looking. Sleek or medicinal is good.

--I like to always show some other human female (who is allied with the tormenters) in the picture enjoying the action.

--I always want to show lots of emotion on the tormented. I went through painstaking hours of hell modelling with my g/f face to learn the ropes of how to to this. She wasn't happy with me at all🙂

These are some of my thoughts.

trust your own tickling ideas

as an artist it`s probably best to trust your own ideas. your bound to do your best work by not trying so much to please others but please yourself. ask yourself this question, if you came back to the art section tomorrow and there were some new works posted what in your mind would you really, really like to see. I know what you mean by artists block.sometimes the imagination seems to go dry. other times it comes alive with creative ideas. Don`t put to much pressure on yourself. relax take your time and enjoy the thrill of bringing your ideas to life. I also have a taste for alien tickle torture. and I`m thrilled to see you also have an interest in facial expressions. They are some magnificant artists here on the TMF,but it seems few are able to capture the absolutely hysterical, desperate, panicked reactions of a beautiful damsel that is not just ticklish, but DEATHLY TICKLISH while being ravaged by someone or in this case something that has no intentions of stopping anytime soon. If you look aound on the web there is alien stuff galore. Not to steal or copy but just to spark your own imagination.good luck man!!!

By "alien tickle scenes" do you mean humans tickled by aliens, or aliens being tickled, or both?

I've done both, at least in stories (I've had problems getting tickle drawings done.) Not to mention stories with fantasy non-humans. E.g. the "centaur tickling" series where centaurs tickle humans who have been stocked or otherwise restrained.

For me, a large part of it is simply that science fiction & fantasy is what I DO. More generally, I like exotic settings and situtations - the more exotic the better. I think it's that I want to shut up that crabby, cynical voice that says "You know, in reality that would be nasty and unpleasant. Icky. No fun at all. Not erotic at all. And with grim consequences afterwards." I can stifle that voice if the setting is sufficiently exotic, but not so much if the scene is set in the here-and-now.

Also, a science fictional or fantasy setting allows for new and interesting reasons to tickle. I actually don't care much for tickle torture, for tickling as an agonizing torment. With a scifi or fantasy setting, I can arrange for a motivation other than "I am tickling you because I want to make you suffer." Where it isn't a problem if the 'lee is enjoying the experience.

So I look for setups where the tickling is done to avert a prophesy, or to gather catalyst energies, or to unlock psionic powers, or to... And where I'm not uncomfortable with identifying with the 'ler because he's not a cast iron sadistic bastard interested mainly in making the 'lee suffer. And where I'm not uncomfortable with being in the 'lee's mind because she isn't suffering utter agony from being tickled. And the best way to get that is a scifi or fantasy setup, often with non-human 'lers and/or 'lees.

I have to echo the earlier sentiment posted by wolf80: trust your own gut. Unless someone is giving you a commission to do something you might not normally do, the stuff you draw should be what you like to draw. Writer's block and artist's block comes in when your heart and mind conflict: from what you've written here, it sounds like you want to draw, for example, some pose of a naked woman, bound and gagged, being ravaged to orgasm by the feathers of a bird-alien, but your girlfriend or someone has suggested you do something a bit more consensual or appropriate or whatever. (That's just an example... you might want to draw some light playful tickling but have pressure from someone to draw something wicked and devious instead.) Now if what you want to do is just not appropriate for TMF, such as some picture of a young Penny or Judy Robinson tickled before she is 18, then I can understand the need to modify it; otherwise go for it and don't let anyone detract you from what you personally like.

Still, if you really want to know... what I personally enjoyed most was some Heavy-Metal style strip that was done of a woman stranded on an alien planet, some giant octopus type thing ripping her astronaut gear off and tickling her. I liked it because instead of being one panel, there was some story involved and I appreciated the level of detail.

Ohhh, I'm a WoW gamer myself...hence the name. I saw "Stormwind" in your location...I play a 70 rogue and 70 pally.

Now..back to the art topic:

Thank you for the sample pictures !!! Good stuff🙂 My art is decent stuff by and large, but I haven't published the stuff (or even posted it) because I'm not getting paid for it, and they also include real fragments of real pictures. I begin working with real photos, crop them, and introduce them into a scene that I create. So it is a mix of Photoshop CS3, Poser 7, and Bryce. So, yeah there is a personal element to it that I am going to need to erase or disguise (for obvious reasons) if I ever decide to publish them.

The alien thing has always appealed to me because of the mysterious and unknown. I work from the element that they could "potentially" have some device or creature that was designed for tickling or pleasure. IRL we all know that there is no such thing as a tickling machine (that works) or creature with tentacles that is going to tickle a woman. So, the fantasy element is HUGE in my book.

Thanks for the feedback thus far...good stuff.

Regards,
Cake

For me the biggest turn on about aliens is the total loss of control mixed with the idea of being nothing but a lab rat. Humans too often have a feeling of being superior to all other life. To the aliens, you don't matter at all. It's not contempt, but a cool detachment from what's happening to the victim. Whether it's that they don't understand what he/she is going through, or are just focused on getting the results.

Ok, based on those descriptors you need to stop talking, and start working. Now. 🙂 :whip:

Well whatever you decide dude, how about something with that chick from Alien vs Predator? Alien theme, plus shes hot as hell. Just an idea.
