In the airports, restarants, planes, etc. I've heard bursts of laughter, squeals, sounds of surprise and so on, all followed very quickly by the sobering realization that they were not provoked by unexpected yet welcomed fingers or other intruments. And then that makes me a little sad. Like oh yeah...that really ISN'T the norm!
That said, this was my most funnest NEST ever. So many friends, so many new ones made, so many beautiful souls. Therein lie the appeal and majesty of gatherings like NEST. They begin with ordinary people brought together by an appreciation for a kindred interest. At some point the appreciation for one another is what actually becomes THE event.
Mike - Next time we'll have the shaw bros collection going in the background eh?

I will say this...I got to meet some of the coolest folks this year and form what I hope will be lasting friendships....
I also got to visit with some of the best friends that anyone could ever ask for, and I want you all to know that I really do appreciate knowing you all...best family there ever was.....

I just wanted to post something that I told LK70 after her unbelievable tickle marathon in Jamie's room last Saturday night. That I have never seen a ticklee before with more stamina, endurance, perfect feet, gracious smile, amazing laugh, kindness, patience, inner and outer beauty.
Most of us newbies had not tickled anyone yet and were a little apprehensive about it and even though she prefers one on one tickling allowed us to truly take her to her limits. I described this scene before but not my respect and admiration for such an incredible girl. I just hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did.

OK, so I can't get settled down enough to think about sleep yet....
A HUGE thank-you has to go out to everyone involved with NEST...from those who did all the work of organizing it and making it come off to those who attended.

I can't even begin to think of how to properly express my gratitude to everyone who makes this gathering what it is. There's a TON of work that goes into pulling off such a great gathering. Those who've done so much to make the dream a reality, you're the best. We are eternally in your debt.
For those who've yet to be able to attend NEST, forgive my sounding mushy. But, this really IS like a family reunion. Online friend are great. Online friends who you're lucky enough to meet in person and get to know and be true and close friends with are a gift! They ARE family.
I know I won't remember everyone I want to speak to. And some of you, I'd simply rather speak to in person. But, I'll at least hit some highlights for now....
To my second mama, Jan (wiggling fingers) - love ya! Thanks so much for all the hard work! I miss you! I guess you'll just have to request another massage so I have an excuse to fly out there.
To my fav big brother, Max - what can I say my friend? You're the best! I can't wait til next time! Drew IS off all week. We'll be back in 4 hours....I wish! Loved the inversion table. We'll have to test it more next time around.
To my fav little brother, Jeff - I'm soooo glad we got to spend more time together this weekend! We're going to hold you to that promise to come visit! (BTW, thanks again for the fun! You're GOOOOOD!

As we were all sitting upstairs in Jon's restaurant after the main gathering(over 30 of us), I looked about the place and thought: "this REALLY IS our second family!" What an awesome group of people!

Always so hard to try to encapsulate all my thoghts about nest in one post. As always BIG thanks to the organizers for jumping through all kinds of hoops every year to pull this off. You should all be nominated for sainthood! Also, kind thanks to my new deadhead friends. (we really ARE everywhere!) My symapathies and thanks to all the sore lee's nursing nest wounds this week. It can be a bitch being a ticklish person in a room full of tickle fiends! Although somehow I myself managed to avoid the ropes this weekend. (I suspect this has something to do with the absence of shygirl and ttd lol ) It really is like a large albeit somewhat dysfunctional family gathering. And I too am sorry that I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to everyone. I had to leave early sunday night to tend to some stuff back home. Fare you well.

I definetly relate... I jumped few times in the airport hearing somebody laughing and then realized that it was "just" a regular laugh (does it make a new category? The vanilla laugh?)... so disappointing...

Oh how the laughter stays in my head
Firstly let me say that "NEST" is more incredible than i could have ever imagined....{the best weekend ever}!!

Sandee - It was a pleasure to share a room with you and finally share some ticklish moments....lol your way more ticklish than i thought...lol
Heather- Im glad you got the chance to get me first because I just needed to find one more ticklish spot on you and you were ticklish toast....lol
