Thanks, mate! I don't know how long I'll roll with that cutesy avatar, but I needed a break from the other owl for awhile. I'm just glad to see most of the avatars back up and running again. Man, as little as a year ago, it was like walking through some modern art gallery in here or something. All of the avatars were all pixelated and/or screwy.

Here are few things that are actually funny about this whole situation.

1. New member, male or female, doesn't matter, went through strict torture made by senior members. Congratulation. If some of you want for this forum to die out slowly and painfully, well way to go.

2. Somebody actually took their precious time to investigate a new member. Ok... its really creepy and stalker like. People lie all the time about everything, so who gives anyone right to check up on them. Hell half of the present here broke the rules at least 2 times without getting punished.

3. There are people who actually enjoy demeaning a human being... wow something smells in the state of Denmark, but I ain't telling what.
 
Oh boo fucking hoo. Someone came in here blatantly lying and trying to deceive people and they got called on it. Don't argue on behalf of someone who lies to trick people into being their friends so that those same people can then be taken advantage of for some perverse enjoyment. There have been mods looking in here the entire time, too, and they obviously saw no wrongdoing on anyone's part except for the person who came here to deceive. Go find a worthy cause to moan over.

Go take a chill pill Sammi, Bella or whatever you are calling yourself today. I am neither defending the people who have lied, nor do I support them. My point was that people here just wait for a witch hunt and reason to hunt someone to ban. Hell if we would've find out that someone actually joined here a week before maturity I bet you and others would be more than happy to burn his ass to crisps.

People lie Sammi, you should know that by now, but it is the fault of people here who get caught into traps. If the other 30, 40 members here didn't just wait to 'capture' a cute female lee then there wouldn't be need for someone to lie that he/she is cute female lee. This just proves how desperate are some to find their match online and others to be accepted no matter what.

And now seriously, why are you putting your nose in every little thing. For years now I have not seen an occasion where someone wasn't flamed without you in that thread. Is that some rebel attitude or are you just so bored with life that you have nothing to do, but to ruin other people's online time. Grow up Sammi. You can be all the rebel, high and mighty as you want, but in the end... against what and with whom will you rebel when you drive everybody else out of your surrounding?

So let me summarize:
1)I don't support lying, but I support flaming against new, or old members on new accounts even less. It is their problem if they have the need to lie to themselves and others.
2)If you want this forum to become more fun, don't investigate every single new member here. That is sad, not to mention obsessive and really weird. Personal information are secret you know?
3)Sammi you need to learn to let go of that anger toward the life and put up some new show... this one is getting outdated and we might have to replace the model.

In their place, there are trolls, traps, and identical desperate men. But I will tell you what. How about I go ahead to the exit, leave the place behind, and then aaaaall the bad feelings and need to be anything less than happy, fuzzy, bubblegum friends will go with me, eh?
 
I did go to photobucket last week and see if I could get further into the directories with no luck. I didn't think to google it. But yeah, Bella... there's nothing wrong with watching each others backs and I don't recall an instance where it's been a problem calling shenanigans here before. In fact, no one even got very heated over it... they simply said something didn't seem right and it's easy enough to dispel these rumors. In this case, it was bs. If this guy is willing to have another person pose for pics to continue the farce, he's serious about lying. Don't need him. It's a weird thing for him to do, but nothing to get very excited about.

Now who else is lying? I know I am.

That would be a nice change of pace. One problem less in my opinion. Now as I said... if this site bores you, move on. Don't ruin the fun for others.

Not to get in the middle of your lover's quarrel with Bella, but I gotta say... this forum has very few rules. Be polite. No spam. Don't post copywritten stuff. I don't really think it's asking too much to follow the few that exist and in the case of your example, the whole site could go tits up and disappear if the rules are relaxed on minors being members. So if it seems like someone - mod or not - is being a little hard edged, it's because there's no gray area on the few laws of the land. We don't want a little spam, a few minors hanging around, or the ability to flame or discriminate just a short while.

I'm all for different opinions and heated discussions, though. Just not liars. Because if it turned out this cat was 14 pretending to be 20 instead of male pretending to be female, it's not harmless and it's good that it was investigated. And if you have nothing to hide [as far as being legit], it shouldn't matter if someone checks you out.
 
Considering the way this thread is going, I think it's about time for me to close this thread.

Before I do, I'll just chuck in the justification for banning Amazingamber<3 because it seems a few people may be misunderstanding the entire ordeal.

Reason 1) The obvious reason, sockpuppetry. Yes, we have a rule about blatent use of fraudulent accounts for deceptive purposes, be it for pure enjoyment or for more serious cases like identity theft/internet thievery. The mods have been looking into this for a while because the signs of a "fake" identity were so obvious. We never did get as far as TickleGothGirls got so we hadn't taken action until now. We do this for member protection. We could look at it one way where we say "Well, if you're naive enough to fall for these traps then you deserve to be emotionally hurt". But if we were to do that, what would our image as moderators be to you members? Cold-hearted monsters in a position of power? That's why we do what's best and remove members like this so that they can't trick you all for their enjoyment or other purposes. You may consider it a witch-hunt but we prefer to call it security.

Reason 2) We also discovered that Amazingamber<3 had committed similar offenses before in the past, under different alias' (spanning to up to eight other accounts). Not only is she repeatedly offending the sockpuppet rule but she also evaded a previous ban which in itself is unacceptable.

So yeah, we had no other alternative but to ban her.

For the time being, I'm going to leave this thread up just to gain feedback from everyone because although we do stick to a code of conduct that has worked for a number of years, we would like your input into how the site is moderated and if you think we're doing anything wrong or if there's anything that heated could do with improving. Saying that, if the next few posts are more banter between members with no other purpose than to insult then I won't hesitate to close this thread.

Bella, Bashiku, I know you're both highly opinionated and love to get into these heated debates but, like Nerrad rightfully said, we have few rules here at TT so we would appreciate if you abide by them. I am talking about the "Be Polite" rule.
 
Well,even though it hurts me very much to see these things happen,I like the security of being protected from such things since emotionally and even mentally I cannot protect myself.It seems I always fall for the same tricks.I don't know what my problem is.I never learn from the same mistake.

'tis simple. You're too nice.
By being too nice, you become naive to what's really going on. You just gotta take past experiences, learn from them and think. It's ok to not trust somebody who's new to the forum. It's natural.
 
My apologies, Mikepd put it the way I should have put it.

I'm not saying "lash out" at any member you have a slight suspicion agaisnt, just don't be so quick as to believe their story. This is the internet, and a persons word is as credible as a $3 bill. Until given undeniable proof (which ideally should be video and audio), you shouldn't believe what most people say on the internet.
