Ok I have been seeing a lot of people come here asking for advice or they have some sort of problem so why don't we create a special section just for giving advice to people who have any sort of problem?

I see people come to every single forum with some sort of problem so if we create a forum for problems then it is organizing.

It is cool. I've seen it on other forums I frequent, and I think it would work well here too. In one of them it's called a "Piss 'n' Moan Club" but I'm sure we could come up with a better name.

Yeeaaaah, it should be more of a 'problem solving' forum. I like the idea a lot--I like to try to give help to people here who ask, and I've asked for my share of help. Hey Val, HDS, tell us what you think!

Hmmmm... well, there's certainly a demand for it. I'm just concerned about people freely expressing their personal issues on here openly, and certain users who may pose as a problem in it. But I guess by posting it on here, they consent to it being seen and used by other users, and with the proper monitoring it problem characters can be dealt with.

I'm 50/50 on the idea myself, just because I don't feel like peoples personal problems should be posted on the internet. But that's just me. 😛

I'll ask the other mods and admins for their opinion.

the bottom line according to the hollywood brother is that we all a big happy tickle loving family. now as a family the hollywood brother feels that we should try to help each other out. You never if someone has expereince in a area that is troubling to someone else. The hollywood brother is for this type of a section here on this forum and thinks that this may be a very good thing indeed

Since it was my idea I will deal with any people who may cause it to be a problem if you all want. I don't mind sorting out fights. I don't think any of us on here as of now would use someone's personal problems to verbally attack them on this forum but if they do it is my personal opinion that if it gets to be to abusive they should be eithier suspended or banned.

Well, I had a talk with the other mod's and admins and expressed our views. We've come to the conclusion that there really isn't enough demand to create a whole forum for this, and we saw that the general/tickling discussions board works just fine.

I'm sorry to put a downer on this idea. 🙁

From an organizational standpoint, it makes sense. Realistically though, I don't see that as a place where I'd make any effort to visit.

I agree with Drew, Although at times I do enjoy helping out and lending a shoulder.

It would also in my opinon pose a bigger problem to try and monitor a whole forum of that if people begin flame wars because one did not care for the advice that they asked for. Of course it would start out fantastically, but I would imagine shortly there after the moderators would have to be busily supervising that area of the forum which would turn up an issue in other sections possibly going to pot.

Well Queen, you could just make a thread in the general discussion section called "The Official Advice" thread or something like that.

Maybe people would choose to ask for advice in there. Who knows, you could give it a shot.
