News story: redheads more sensitive to pain

The gist of the story is that redheads tend to suffer more at the dentist because they are more sensitive to pain and difficult to anesthetize. Putting the pain thing aside, I wonder if this lends credence to the idea that redheads tend to be exceptionally ticklish?

I know, I know, ticklish (and non-ticklish) people come in all colors, shapes, and sizes, but I thought this was interesting...

I never hold much stock in studies like this, because it's ALWAYS based upon a sampling of people. I think this falls under the category of something you can't really ever test.

As I have posted before, every red-headed woman I have ever tickled was very ticklish. Not just 1 or 2 but all of them so I do tend to believe that the theory of them being more sensative is true.

Every Redheaded lady that I have tickled that was ticklish was extremely ticklish and would scream and beg and laugh hysterically. I find that redheads are my favorite to tickle but I love to tickle blondes, and brunettes and black haired ladies just the same....I love them all if they are ticklish.

I've posted about this before, but my experience with redheads has also been that they are very, very ticklish. I am sure that there are some redheads who aren't very ticklish or aren't ticklish at all--but I have never had the misfortune to come across one! 😉
