Ok, the draft is over....do you like what your team did?

I live in Detroit...so I'm not allowed to comment since we don't have a professional team, lol.

Seriously, we're so good we could afford to draft a TE at 20...I was truly speechless when they did that

Actually I like the pick at 20 for you guys, gives Culpepper another offensive weapon, and he should take some pressure off of CJ.

Ehh the Ravens draft is what it is, unspectacular. Oher is a solid pick and Kruger gives another weapon on the DLine. Still wondering who's going to catch passes though in 2010?

I'm happy with our draft (though I wish we had drafted an O-lineman or two)

Anyway, we got Crabtree, so that's epic!

Go Niners!

Yep you guys sure did, Im going to go jump out the window now...

Seriously, Crabtree falls to ten in the draft and the cowboys (who despartely need a wideout after turning Terrell Owens loose) do nothing in a effort to try and move up?!

Futher more they trade out of the first day?! Are you freaking kidding me!!!!!!!!

Jerry Jones is coming dangerously close to becoming Al Davis the second.

I thought the Cowboys did a good job of filling needs. Special teams was a problem last year and that influenced some of their decisions.

I didn't expect a receiver to be taken once they got to their original pick, pick 51. This years draft wasn't special. They traded down because they didn't feel that any of the remaining players were worth a pick that high.

I'm just going to wait and see what happens. They've done a good job with drafts lately, and they've found some good players in the late rounds.

Panthers didn't have a first rounder this year so that annoyed me a bit. Also the fact that we have signed Delhomme to a 5 year deal. What a joke. I love Julius Peppers (being both a Panthers fan and a UNC fan), but if he doesn't want to be a part of the team they should just trade him for someone who does and perhaps a 1st round pick. Speaking of 1st round picks, Carolina trading its 2010 first-round pick to get Brown in the second round this year is stupid. Carolina went from the best team in the NFC South to 2nd or possibly 3rd. We handled this draft poorly and, though I like Everette Brown, it is a dumb move to trade away a first round pick this year to move up for a second round pick. It just makes no sense.

Carolina is probably going to be picking between 26-32 next year. That's one reason why they were willing to trade that pick. Plus, teams don't value 1st-round picks like they used to.

The Julius Peppers situation is another thing. Maybe they figure they'll trade him eventually and get a 1st in return.

I was Amazed Larry English went 16

Yes he was stellar at linebacker and i had the pleasure of watching him play and develop but still, esp for a MAC linebacker and considering former defensive players i felt were better than in him aspects in the prior years

Thanks for that, btw. With two franchise QB's coming out next year, that extra first round pick will be a great bargaining chip.

Taking into account the Jay Cutler trade I am thrilled about the Bears draft. I really wanted them to get Brian Robiskie out of Ohio State but he got drafted before we got on the board. Other than that we got some really strong defensive linemen and two WRs with some great potential.

As a Niners fan....I was ecstatic when Crabtree fell to them, now lets get a QB and they'll be a force to be reckoned with, especially in the weak NFC West.

Yeah I'm still pissed about it. The team needs to start thinking about the future and instead they resign Delhomme for 5 more years (who I have never been sold on as the starting QB because he has always just been kind of average) and trade away our first round for next year. I'd be willing to argue there are a lot of decent QBs coming out next year including Tebow and Harrell who both are good players. Not to mention anyone who emerges outside the duo of Bradford and McCoy.

Harrell came out this year, I only knew that because Mike Leach was ranting today about how Crabtree fell and Harrell didn't even get drafted. I do like Tebow and McCoy out of next year's QB class though.

Not a Panthers fan, but I was shocked that Delhomme got a five year deal. How'd they hammer this one out? A year for every pick he threw in the Divisional playoffs last year? The Panthers are absolutely going to be regretting that extension by year three, if not sooner. And I'd also be very surprised if they were drafting out of the top fifteen next year, so I personally think dealing that pick was a bad move.

As a Giants/Broncos guy myself, I liked the potential in both drafts. Moreno is an interesting choice... there's lots of rb depth in Denver but I'm not sure any of them have his highlight reel abilities. That being said, the qb situation is still a mess. It's a shame about Cutler... they'd prob be AFC West favorites going into this year if McDaniel hadn't been so intent on building Patriots west as soon as he took over in Denver. The Giants addressed a big issue with Hakeem Nicks, but I think they still need to bring in a free agent insurance policy. Toomer's gone, and I don't think Steve Smith/Sinorice Moss/Nicks is going to be enough to rejuvenate that passing game with Burress Toomer and Shockey all gone. Eli's running out of targets.

Yeah I saw today where Herrell was in the draft. It kind of confuses me that he went undrafted because I think he was semi-talented. I mean Texas Tech isn't exactly a powerhouse school and to perform as well as he did the past 2 years I thought someone would use a pick on him in the later rounds.

There's always next years draft.

1. St. Louis Rams (trade with Lions on draft day)
*Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma

Lions will have the worst record, but can't afford another No. 1 overall. Teams will want to trade up for this QB, unlike the lack of interest in Matt Stafford. The only danger is critics will have a year to pick apart Bradford, who could have been No. 1 this year.

2. Oakland Raiders
*Eric Berry, SS, Tennessee

Will the new Raiders coach be able to talk Al Davis out of workout wonder Taylor Mays? This is very high for a safety, but Berry is special.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
*Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma

Tampa Bay's defense will really need help after its first full Monte Kiffin-less season.

4. Detroit Lions (trade with Rams on draft day)
Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State

They'll do anything to protect their investment in Matthew Stafford.

5. San Francisco 49ers
Taylor Mays, S, USC

Might as well cement all the comparisons to Ronnie Lott.

6. Jacksonville Jaguars
Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska

The disruptive Suh will help bring some bite back to this defense.

7. Cleveland Browns
Mark Herzlich, LB, Boston College

Or perhaps Sergio Kindle, who is slotted at No. 14.

8. New York Jets (via draft day trade with Chiefs)
*Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State

Assuming the Jets don't sign Plaxico Burress, new quarterback Mark Sanchez will need more help.

9. Cincinnati Bengals
*Arrelious Benn, WR, Illinois

How much longer can an unhappy Chad Johnson work in Cincy?

10. Green Bay Packers
Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma

The Packers need to make that big investment in Aaron Rodgers pay off.

11. Buffalo Bills
*Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa

The Bills could also look at receiver if the Terrell Owens experiment doesn't work out.

12. Seattle Seahawks (via Broncos)
*Joe Haden, CB, Florida

The Seahawks will need more help running after the Cardinals' receivers.

13. Washington Redskins
Tim Tebow, QB, Florida

All it takes is for one team to fall in love with the chosen one. No owner develops crushes like Daniel Snyder, who will take Tebow 10 picks too early. Tebow doesn't necessarily fit the mold of a Jim Zorn quarterback, but there could be a new coach in Washington by draft day if the Redskins end up slotted at No. 13.

14. Kansas City Chiefs (via draft day trade with Jets)
Sergio Kindle, OLB, Texas

Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Scott Pioli traded down even more in this draft to take control of the second round, like he used to in New England. The Chiefs already have the Falcons' pick for the Tony Gonzalez trade.

15. Minnesota Vikings
*Carlos Dunlap, DE, Florida

He's 6-foot-6, 285 pounds and could go even higher if he dominates the 2009 season.

16. Atlanta Falcons
Terrence Cody, DT, Alabama

The Falcons did draft Peria Jerry, but coach Mike Smith could add more size on that defensive line. Cody has battled weight problems but slimmed down in the offseason.

17. Miami Dolphins
Brandon Spikes, LB, Florida

The hard-hitting LB has Bill Parcells written all over him. (That's assuming Parcells is still with the 'Fins.)

18. Seattle Seahawks
Greg Hardy, DE, Mississippi

If this seems too low a spot for a team that finished 4-12 last season, remember the Seahawks were decimated by injuries in 2008. Hardy's a big talent who has attitude issues to address.

19. New Orleans Saints
*Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech

New Orleans failed to get a big back in this year's draft.

20. Baltimore Ravens
Brandon LaFell, WR, LSU

Baltimore's leading receiver, Derrick Mason, is 35.

21. Denver Broncos (via Bears)
Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri

Denver will still be looking to shore up its defense.

22. Houston Texans
*Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina

We've all heard this before, but this is the year the Texans break into the playoffs.

23. Dallas Cowboys
Trevard Lindley, CB, Kentucky

Tony Romo fails to get his first playoff win, which would have moved the Cowboys further down in the first round.

24. Tennessee Titans
Jermaine Gresham, TE, Oklahoma

Or will Tennessee be looking for a quarterback here? We'll give Vince Young the benefit of the doubt.

25. San Francisco 49ers (via Panthers)
*Jevan Snead, QB, Mississippi

Depending on who you talk to, Snead could be the No. 1 overall pick next year or fall out of the first round. Keep an eye on one of this year's most interesting prospects.

26. Arizona Cardinals
George Selvie, DE, South Florida

Will the Cardinals be looking for a QB as well? We'll also give Matt Leinart the benefit of the doubt.

27. Indianapolis Colts
Brandon Lange, DE, Troy

The small-school product could be the Colts' next sack specialist.

28. Pittsburgh Steelers
Javier Arenas, CB, Alabama

Not a lot of immediate needs I can see for Pittsburgh, so it can take the best available talent.

29. New York Giants
*Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama

The Giants will likely need a burner at receiver, but McClain reportedly has looked scary during spring practice.

30. New England Patriots
C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson

If they don't trade out of the first round, they'll need a running back.

31. Philadelphia Eagles
Ciron Black, OT, LSU

Andy Reid gets back to his true passion next season, drafting offensive linemen.

32. San Diego Chargers
*DeMarco Murray, RB, Oklahoma

Chargers finally get over the hump in the playoffs.

Dude, I can't believe you're not happy w/the Ravens draft. Ozzie never disappoints. Sure I'd like to see us get a wideout, but Oher's going to be a beast on the Oline. We finally stopped the revolving door at RT & now IMO have one of the best Olines in the league. As far as the lack of a quality WR, I agree w/you. But how many teams have All-Pros at every position? With Flacco, our running game & defense, we'll be fine. Believe me, the Ravens are a lot stronger than they were at this time last year. I wish the season was starting tomorrow. I'm sick of seeing the Orioles lose every night.

Interesting 2010 mock draft. I find it absolutely hilarious that Tebow won't the top qb taken in the draft. I'm not saying I question it as truth... draft experts have been clear he's not a "top prospect" in the NFL game, and that Bradford and even Colt McCoy go into this season as better ranked NFL prospects than him.

That being said.... seriously? A Heisman trophy and a National championship? And that's what he's done before the 2009 college season has begun. I know neither of those are good measures of what a player can do in the pros, but I'd take Tebow because he's a winner and a warrior. There is no qb in the country who fires up his team and makes the big plays better than Tebow. Urban Meyer's college offense be damned. Tebow is a winner, and he's proved that he's got excellent work ethic too. That's what NFL teams should be looking for.

And yet he's still a Day 2 pick because he's not a top tier QB. Hell he may not even be a QB in the NFL.

I'm excited to see what the Packers do this year on the field. They had some good picks, and now their QB has a year under his belt, and didn't do that bad for his first year in my opinion. Also think they'll do better now that, the Farve situation is over, and was all last year. :blaugh:
