NFL Draft

Again echoing Tron, the Chargers have a pretty decent QB out of this deal, plus if the Giants don't do exceptionally well this year, San Diego gets a pretty killer 1st round pick in next year's draft. Handing off to Tomlinson makes any QB's job eaiser, so he stands a good job of being effective in that system if they can produce a real go-to receiver. It's the Bolts D that needs some tuning. I'm just not a real big proponant of the 3-4 in this day and age, although it can work well with just the right personnel.
 
i am a die hard chargers fan....and i will be the first to admit we suck....but we got THE MOST out of this draft that we possibly could....we will have what will end up being 2 top 10 picks next year....we have a young secondary with quentin jammer (who held randy moss too 70something yards), dreyton florence and terrance keil....THE BEST ALL AROUND BACK IN FOOTBALL BAR NONE in lt....and assuming we get a new coach when shottys contract is up at the end of this year, we will be on good pace in two years.
 
Uh YOu Don't Wait

Two years with a young team AND then fire the coach whose draft philisophy you're following with your newly acquired draft picks.
Also, if the Chargers have the best all around back in the NFL it's news to me.

second most yards from scrimage in nfl history last year....first back ever to catch 100 passes and run for over 1000 yards...he had 1600 rushing and 100 catches decimating the next closest (roger craig had like just under 1100 rushing and 91 catches)....and all this behind a line that for more than half the year consisted of three UNDRAFTED rookie free agents.....yeah tomlinsons the best
 
oh yeah and shottys contract is up this year which means we wont be following his philosophy with our newly acquired picks.

James is still the best back in the league, and Williams is the strongest.

I like Tomlinson, but to mention him in the same breath with Roger Craig is hilarious!!

If they weren't gonna follow Marty's philisophy they'd have fired him before the draft. Wanna bet he's there next year?

yeah ill bet....the chargers arent a rich big market team and the spanos are kinda stingy...theyre not gonna get rid of him with time left especially when its one year.....theyll have someone new next year....besides that shotty was john butlers guy (former gm)..but he died before last season so im fairly certain hell be gone....by james to u mean james on the colts?....tomlinsons far better than him....hes definetly not as strong as williams but strength alone doesnt make you great....look at barry sanders or walter payton
