WOW!!!! Rob, I was going to start this next week!!! I had gotten some calls and emails. But since you started it, I'll go for it!!!

9/7 1:00 ET Cincinnati -2 At Baltimore --- Cincinnati to get a good road effort. I am not sure how Baltimore is going to handle their QB issues. But Ray Rice should have a good game against this Bengals Defense ( if that is what you want to call it. )

9/7 1:00 ET NY Jets -3 At Miami --- Let a new ERA begin??? Brett Farve what is he going to do??? He will do enough to beat the Fish. Pennington will probably have a good game and the Jets walk out of Miami with a 24-17 win.

9/7 1:00 ET At New England -16 vs. Kansas City --- Tom Who??? OH...the fourth Brady... I thought that was cousin Oliver ( didn't he have blond hair??? ) Herm Edwards defense will do enough to keep the game withing 2 TD's.

9/7 1:00 ET At Pittsburgh -6.5 vs. Houston --- Houston has not been a good road team and I don't expect that to change. Though 6 1/2 is a rich bet, I am willing to take that chance. Steelers 27- Texans 20.

9/7 1:00 ET Jacksonville -3 At Tennessee --- Jacksonville is the more talented team. But there are obvious issues over the last couple of weeks. Particularly their fallen teammate. Can they focus for 60 minutes. Maybe...but the Titans are not to be taken lightly here. This will be a close game. I will take the the points and the Titans.

9/7 1:00 ET Detroit -3 At Atlanta --- Matt Ryan vs Jon Kitna...who do you like??? Yeah, I would take Kitna too!!! Lions get out the gate fast.

9/7 1:00 ET At Buffalo -1 vs. Seattle --- At least Seattle gets to Buffalo in September. Buffalo is still warm in September. Should be a fun game. Bills will send Seattle back to the Pacific NorthWest 0-1.

9/7 1:00 ET At New Orleans -3 vs. Tampa Bay --- I think Dree Brees has enough weapons on this team to make a Super Bowl push. It starts with a week one clobbering of Tampa Bay.

9/7 1:00 ET At Philadelphia -8 vs. St. Louis --- McNabb will take out about twp years of frustration and injuries out on the Rams to prove he should still be an elite QB. Look for vintage McNabb as the Rams get pasted by the Eagles.

9/7 4:15 ET Dallas -6 At Cleveland --- My mind tells me Dallas. My gut tells me this will be a hell of a game. I still think that Dallas wins this game, but I am not liking that point spread. Give me the points and the Browns.

9/7 4:15 ET At San Diego-9 vs. Carolina --- I think the Chargers will be ummm...well...Charged up ( excuse the pun ). I think that LT will have a great game and I also think that Rivers has a very good game as well. Chargers with this one 28- 13.

9/7 4:15 ET Arizona -2.5 At San Francisco --- The last three years I have been on the Cardinals bandwagon. The beautiful thing about picking a team over and over and over again is that at some point you have to be right. 😛 I think I will be right on this one. Though Mike Martz brings his offensive genius to the Bay, I do believe it will get off to a slow but entertain start. Cardinals 31- 49ers 27.

9/7 8:15 ET At Indianapolis -9.5 vs. Chicago --- Kyle Orton versus some guy by the name of Manning. We are not sure if this guy Manning will be any good. He is a bit raw but I pick him to " upset " Orton. Is that Kyle Orton or is that Randy Orton. Regardless, Payton should have class in session on Sunday Night.

Monday Night Football Line

9/8 7:00 ET At Green Bay -2 vs. Minnesota --- Green Bay will do whatever they can to prove that letting go their previous QB was the right decision. Therefore, the Packers at home on what was originally scheduled to be Brett Farve night ( that will be postponed due to Farve having a previous engagement ) will prevail in a 17-14 game.

9/8 10:15 ET Denver -3 At Oakland --- I think that the Broncos want to see Cutler put it all together this season. If he does, the Broncos will do well. If he has a season like he did last year, it could be a long season for the Broncos. It will at least get off to a fighting start. Broncos 21- Raiders 17.

Those are the picks for week #1 in the league where they play...for pay!!!

P.S. Rob pm me when you get a chance!!!

Thanks Rob- and TF4F!

This is the first chance I've had to get online since last night. I'll post every games from here on out. However, I've picked the Cowboys every game since we've been doing this so I don't think it would be cheating if I was allowed to pick that game. I would've picked them anyway. The score is 14-7 at the 2-minute mark as I type with Dallas leading.

America's Team over Cleveland

So far I'm 8-6 ATS and 7-7 O/U (knock on wood)... no TOO bad... (considering Brady's injury and Seattle's meltdown)

Please DO NOT change the spreads. It does get confusing. The spreads for this week are the spreads that are made in the initial post which Robace did. At the time he did those spreads they are locked in and should not be changed. Your record with be based on Robace's initial post. I thank you and everyone who participates. This is usually a fun time and and gives us football fans chance to bond.

Sorry, I do my own picking based on Yahoo's! up-to-date spreads and those are the numbers I used.

I'll follow his numbers next time (although I'll have to adjust a few picks I suppose)

Well when I do the standings it will be based on point spreads. I can get somebody who knows nothing about football and pick a team without point spreads. You want to play, well welcome to the Big Leagues. Robace put out point spreads that is the way we roll!!!

Cy/MiG: That is no problem. We have been running this for the last two years and we have the spreads posted so it gives everyone one number to work with. Most of the time it will be posted on Wednesday. Thursday games will usually be posted on Tuesday.

Samuel Khan: I see you put different point spreads from what the spreads really are yet you did not pick teams. I am not sure I understand how you are doing this. New England +13 vs Kansas City??? Are you trying to say that you thought the Patriots were HUGE underdogs in this game that the Chiefs would beat them by two touchdowns??? Get back to me.

A note again guys: We will post the spreads. You pick the teams based on the spreads we have written down. If you see +6 that means that team is the a six point underdog. If you see a -6 then that team is a six point favorite and are expected to win the game by that much or more.

Any questions, please drop me a pm.
