Well all the free agent free-for-all has started and may I say that a lot of releases and signings are are surprising to me.
Joey Porter....where is he going.

Jake Plummer and Jeff Garcia to Tampa....
Patroits nabbing a good linebacker..

The 49er's! Spending 80 mil on Nate Clements....
London Fletcher going into Synder's grab bag of overpaid defensive stars that after they arrive spiral downward?

Drew Bennett cleaning up with the Rams.

What do you all think has been the best/worst move, and for you favorite team what are you looking forward too.

For me I dont know about a worst yet....but best so far seems Denver having probally the best 1-2 punch at Cornerback with 2 shutem down corners in Dre Bly and Champ Bailey. Making the move for Bly was great for the Broncos.

Rob

Denver gave up a bit to get Bly - so thats not really a steal or can it be said to be a solid move yet, but they have been pretty aggressive thus far and if they somehow pick up McGahee we're fu*ked.

The 80mil dollar man hahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha man that is just stupid- well done 40 whiners. He was overrated in a weak DB free agency class and the whiners paid.

I would love to see the book work for the 'Skins salary cap.......

I like Joey Porter - talks a big game and brings it but has he much left in the tank, I can see him staying in Pitts.

and whats with these 2nd tier gaurds getting big dollars lol

Best move thus far - Chargers keeping their guard; Kris Dielman - helps Tomilson and with Turner coaching they need it.

Worse move - Clements by far.

i will admit that paying Nate Clements that amount of money is ridiculous, but he will help solidify the 49er secondary.

it's hilarious reading Raider fans calling the 49ers the "whiners". you know what the biggest mistake is this offseason? The Raiders hiring Lane Kiffin. want to know another big mistake? The Raiders organization. face it, they are garbage. They have NO IDEA on what they want to do. the Kiffin hiring proved that to me.

just remember, the "whiners" are the only multi winner (at least 3 times) Super Bowl champions that is UNDEFEATED in that game. we also were the first 5 time winners. we also boast the greatest quarterback of all time. what did the Raiders ever do but hire a bunch of misfits and mistreat one of the greatest football players of all time (Marcus Allen)?

chances are the 49ers WILL have a better season that the Traitors. looks like the Raider fans will have the #1 pick AGAIN in 2008.

the Broncos picking up Dre Bly was HUGE. I dont think they lost much but that remains to be seen.

why do i think Joey Porter will be a..............Cincinnati Bengal?

Ahman Green is now a Texan.

Jeff Garcia is a Buc. wait and see how explosive they will be when they draft Calvin Johnson.

the offseason is getting very interesting...

well what you expect from a Raider fan haha

honestly the niners picking up Lewis (did he sign?? I read he did but not 100%) at safety was a better pick - Clements will cut his side of the field off but I dont think he is worth 80mil...

curious...why Porter a bengal???

The 49ers have been very active and will definently challenge Seattle for that division.

The Broncos aquisition of Dre Bly was huge for them.

I guess we we're all proved wrong. Matt Millen can actually make moves that benefit the Lions.

The Redskins are spending as usual but lets see if they can actually produce.

The Pats signing of Adalius Thomas was another big move.

Seeing how this Joey Porter situation ends will be interesting. I see that Dallas is one team that has interest in him. If they sign him fine, but I think they could be just fine with Ellis and Carpenter.

Finally, I'm very optimistic of the signing of L. Davis by the 'Boys. Hopefully he will play RG, a position I think will suit him better than tackle.

believe it or not im happy the donks picked up Henry - means McGahee my boy is going no where near them.

Miami is reportedly interested in Porter...his drawing interest from every 3-4 D, he must something left.

Some of the latest moves:

The Bears traded Thomas Jones and their 2nd round pick(63rd overall) to the Jets for their second round pick(37th overall).

The Seahawks sign Patrick Kerney

The Broncos signed Travis Henry to a 5-year deal.

The Cowboys signed Brad Johnson to a 3-year deal.

The Dolphins released Joey Harrington and Randy McMichael.

The Giants cut Lavar Arrington.

New England sent a second and seventh round pick to the Dolphins for Wes Welker.

free agency is getting interesting. Travis Henry going to Denver is HUGE. he is going to have fun in that offense.

i think Porter is going to Cincy because the Bengals DESPERATELY need linebacker help and it gives him a shot to get back at the Steelers twice a year. the Dolphins are in the running, but i really believe he will go to the Bengals.

the Dolphins releasing Joey Harrington is a surprise. he played well for them after Culpepper stunk it up and got hurt.

i wonder what's going to happen next...

a 2nd round was Welker??? ok now that tops the worse move thus far...

I dont get the whole hype about Henry:
few things
1- I dont think he will suit the donks running scheme, they need a more of a shifty speed back. really after Portis who has done anything that special????

2 - McGahee outplayed him and put him on the bench

3 - looks like White has done pretty much the same in tenn - cause they dont think he is worst tha $$$$

4 - he had under 80 yards receiving last year - one dimensional

***there is still a lot talent still on the market...its interesting waking up and seeing what has happened - Randy McMichael being cut was a surprise, a healthy Culpepper loved Moss but he loved a solid TE as well***

Porter signs with Miami

I see Joey Porter signed with the Dolphins today- 5yrs for 32mil !!!
I think he`ll be a good addition,but 32 million? Good God!!!!

I cant believe the Bears gave up only a switch of 2nd round picks with the Jets to trade away Thomas Jones.
And now Briggs wants out of Chicago.

As the Free Agency Turns.

Rob

McGahee to the Ravens is HUGE!

But the underlying theme of this free agency is how its going to effect the draft. I think the multiple movements at running back have hurt Adrian Peterson's stock a bit and if Brady Quinn doesn't go to Cleveland he may free fall much like Leinart did last year.

Well we learned that the 49ers weren't afraid to spend to get players, although 80 million for Clements is absolutely insane! But then again the Seahawks are also throwing around gobs of money in making Deon Grant the 3rd highest paid safety in the NFL!

With all that said and done, the Ravens are my pick for the SUPER BOWL!

Yes some will say its a homer pick, but with the addition of McGahee and another solid draft, this team will be scarier then last years team!
