So by your theory it's ok to CHEAT, LIE and spit in the face of the entire League and every team in it and show total disrespect to the fans.. as long as it's against a lesser opponent. Gotcha.

The New England Cheaters are crap. I don't care how many Super Bowls they cheated to win. Every team could go undefeated if they cheated. But with a slap on the wrist and a promise not to do it anymore, I guess that's all it takes to win a Super Bowl these days.

Their fine was meaningless, the apology empty and their punishment? Oh yeah. Losing a draft pick when you already have a loaded team. Wow. That's harsh.

The radio hosts and papers haven't "forgotten" it at all. They simply choose to wipe it under the rug and hide it. They are getting paid to 'sell' the NFL, not ruin it.

If you worked as a bank teller and the bank CEO was caught cheating and lying to the customers and taking money from them.. would you want to keep bringing it up if you are trying to convince customers your bank is legit?

Suspicion does not mean guilt...but but it also doesn't go away with a grumble by the coach that he misinterpreted the rule...and the letter from the commisioner.

I'd rather root for a clean organization that is competitive that one that been proven to break rules just for the sake of winning. And I rooted for NE in their first couple super bowls...then the press started humping NE's leg and I got sick of hearing how clean cut and respectful they were. They were as nasty and arrogant as any team I have ever seen in 35+ years of watching the NFL. Now it has just turned on them...and the fanboys can't admit it. After years of NE love from all the media now a few words of criticism and its "us against the world". Sorry you guys broke the rules and got punished. Sorry you cheated (even though all fans of NE say they didn't have to). Sorry it taints all you did, but if they wouldn't have done it we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I'd still dislike the Patriots because they've beaten my team a few times...but I couldn't call them cheaters.

what are they supposed to do stop playing? actually they are giving the defense a chance to keep points off the board by going for it on 4th down instead of a guaranteed 3 points, it's not their fault these defenses can't stop them and show no life in the 2nd half.
