NFL Hall Of Fame member Y.A, Tittle dies at 90.

There are probably not many here who remember Y.A. Tittle.

He spent most of his NFL career with the 49ers, then quarterbacked the New York Giants 1961-64. Y.A. took over under center for New York when I was a budding young football fan and while I don't remember seeing him on the field, I did read about him and his career. Tittle threw for over 30,000 yards in an era when the run game dominated, and is the only quarterback of his time to throw 30 touchdown passes in two consecutive seasons. Y.A. also appears in one of the most iconic photographs in NFL history. Link in article. RIP Mr. Tittle.

Mils, I thought you were strictly a baseball man. A few years ago I was thinking about Y.A. for some reason and wondered if he was still living. A search lead me to this article. It's rather sad but well written and worth reading.
