NFL Playoff Predictions

That's because you prefer going through the back door. :eeew:

The fact that I am engaged to Sadira ( a member of this forum ) tells everyone I don't backdoor anything. What is your excuse for being on your knees and slobbering? Now that truly is an :eeew:

Am I the only one that think the Cardinals are going to lose the the Pakers just like they did last week? Gosh, somep people even think they're going to the superbowl lol...

I am sure lots of people think that the Cardinals are going to lose. But if you are going to refer to last week when Matt Leinart was the QB for the majority of the game...you will have to do better than that. If the Cardinals lost to the Packers 33-7 with Kurt Warner playing the entire game ( in game for only 2 series ) then I would give it credence.

You can't take any of the games played last week that are rematching again this week seriously. The game meant nothing to the Cardinals so they rested players.

I think this weeks games will be much closer. im still putting my money on green bay though. they are a sleeper team.

Well, to be fair, who honestly thought they'd make the Superbowl last year?

Warner is good, but until last postseason, I had thought his glory days were over. He's got one of the best postseason records of the quarterbacks in the playoffs right now.

If you give him a full game to play, he can win most of the time. He almost won last Superbowl, and to bring things that close against the Steelers at their strongest is pretty impressive.

Granted, the Packers are no joke either. Rodgers has the potential to be the next Favre.

Wild card weekend.....

Bengals over the Jets
Dallas over Philly
Patriots over The Ravens
Green bay defeats Arizona

divisional weekend.....
Chargers beat the Bengals
Minnosota handles dallas
Colts beat the pats
GB will upset new orleans

Confernce
Chargers beat the colts
Minnesota beats the packers

superbowl
farve falls short and Rivers takes home ring one

I didn't mean that they were going to lose like they did last week, I just think they are going to lose, and felt like referencing last week as in, well, it's hard to explain, i just think they're going to lose again lol..

And I think you can take last weeks Eagles / Dallas game seriously lol.. They worked hard and Dallas kicked butt And they were both playing their hardest because it mattered for a spot in the playoffs.

Wild Card Weekend:

3. Dallas 6. Philadelphia
4. Arizona 5. Green Bay

5. New York 4. Cincinnati
3. New England 6. Baltimore

Both Dallas/Philadelphia had playoff positions. It was seeding that was to be determined. Philadelphia didn't blitz Romo at all in the first half of that game ( against their character ). I think that if that game meant anything Philadelphia is blitzing Romo before the National Anthem. I still think Dallas wins this weekend though.

Packers/Cardinals since there was a reference to last week...the Cardinals proved to everyone that they have the capabilities to be able to win big games. And since last week meant nothing to them, they were very vanilla with their defensive and offensive schemes. Also this is Aaron Rodgers first ever playoff start. Don't underestimate 1st time jitters.

that makes no sense.... absolutely none.

Philly had chance to have 2nd seed with 1st round bye with a win against dallas. Philly may well win Saturdays game but there is no way they wanted to lose that game. Philly did sit several key starters ; oh thats right they played everyone and kept in a injured DeShaun Jackson to try to make a comeback

Arizona had nothing to gain and the outcome showed it. Bengals had nothing to gain and outcome showed it .

Minnesota had lots to gain or keep and played all key-starters to make sure they stayed in 2nd seed with 1st round bye. To say Philly just threw away chance to have 2nd seed is ludicrous and uninformed

i agree with flock you cant look at the cards and bengals last week they were locker where they where but with philly they had to win to get a bye and a home game plus the nfc east division title...... if they didnt play to win that maybe the most stupidest thing in the history of the nfl........no i take that back nothing tops that ply the redskins ran a few weeks ago at the end of the half

That's exactly what I was saying when someone said we can't look at last weeks games and I said we can look at philly and dallas bc they were still playing for playoff spots and he disagreed with me... I don't feel like looking to see who it was lol

no worries..

that guy has a tendency to do that once in a while. lol:whisper::hipoke:

I was extremely disappointed in the 2009-2010 season - Giant meltdowns, no Dallas collapse, Patriots still winning the AFC east, etc. The only good things are that I won my alumni fantasy football league & the Giant management team is dropping crap coaches like flies. I'll do my wishes & guesses.

The matchups I would despise the most are any combination of Chargers/Patriots vs. Eagles/Cowboys. Thankfully at least one of those teams gets KO'ed this weekend, hopefully two.

Of all the possible matchups, I would love to see the Saints vs. Bengals the most - two teams that have horrible nicknames reaching the Superbowl (You do remember the Aints & the Bungles, don't you?).

Edit: I would also love to see Jets/Packers, because SI.com's Don Banks pointed something out with this quote:

Brett Favre's two former teams meet in the Super Bowl, but he's not there.

I will be cheering for the Packers, Saints, & the Cardinals in the NFC, & against the Chargers & Patriots in the AFC.

I will reveal my current guesses right now.

Wild Card Weekend:
Cowboys to beat the Eagles because I think they are better balanced than the Eagles.

The Packers to beat the Cardinals since I see many similarities with the 2005-2006 Pittsburgh Steelers & the 2007-2008 New York Giants.

The Baltimore Ravens to beat the Patriots as the NE defense isn't very good & Wes Welker's replacement Julian Edelman is still somewhat of a dropoff.

I'll take the Jets over the Bengals for this reason: I don't believe that Cincinnati can score enough points to run away with this game, allowing the Jets to steal this one.

In fact, I believe that there are only three teams in the playoffs that can beat the Jets. These three teams are the Packers, the Chargers, & the Jets. (Not the Colts because they seem to lose badly as the No. 1 seed. Their SB win was as the No. 3 seed.)

Divisional Round:
Packers over Saints - I see a repeat of the 2007-2008 Giants in the Packers...
Cowboys over Vikings - ...& Old Man Favre throwing picks.
Jets over Colts - ...I see some qualities of the 2005-2006 Steelers in the Jets...
Chargers over Ravens - ...but not the Ravens...

Conf. Champtionship:
Packers over Cowboys - Tony Romo finally melts down in January.
Chargers over Jets - Because two teams will beat the Jets on this day.

And I see the Packers over the Chargers in the Superbowl.

And you are always so agreeable. Yeah!

Oh I am sorry, I am ludicrous and uninformed. I forgot. I guess I will stay away since I am not entitled to my opinion. :sorry:

Bye!!!

why do you assume it was you ? I never mentioned a name and neither did he. lol :headpat:

Good start to the playoffs for me. philly choked as i knew they would. its tradition. jets looked good, but will get pummeled next round.

I think this is the moment i get to tell you I told you so. You said we can't take any of the games played last week serious and I said you can take the Dallas / Philly game seriously because they were still playing to see where they were seeded in the playoffs... and well guess what happened? It was just like last week.. yes the score might have been slightly different but like last week Dallas dominated the Eagles and like last week the Cowboys won... I think last week was a good example of what was going to happen this week, because the same thing happened.

Oh and on another note, Jets won like last week too.. and well now we just wait for the Packers to win.

But lastly, I told you so.

The argument remains sound though.

In the cases of the Jets game and the Cowboys game, both teams played their starters last week. The Bengals had all their big players onfield, as did the Eagles (with the exception of Westbrook, I believe). Therefore, one could argue that those two games were easy to predict.

With the Cardinals/Packers game, Warner is the X-factor. He has a pretty good chance to pull through for his team even without Boldin.

Granted, I think this will be a close one. The Packers almost never go down without a fight.

thats not true about the Bengals. Benson played little or not at all, and they also sat two starting defensive lineman last week .

Here are my objective picks. Will they be right? I don't know. But I know I am not on my knees slobbering on someone's lollypop while making these picks. 🙄

Wild Card Round

5.Jets over 4.Bengals

6.Ravens over 3.Patriots

3.Cowboys over 6.Eagles

4.Cardinals over 5.Packers

Divisional Round

1.Colts over 6.Ravens

2.Chargers over 5.Jets

4.Cardinals over 1.Saints

3.Cowboys over 2.Vikings

Championship Round

1.Colts over 2.Chargers

4.Cardinals over 3.Cowboys

Super Bowl

Cardinals over Colts

Yes folks...I dared to be different. But, at least, I stayed objective and didn't pick like a homer. Some of you out here can't say that. I, at least, know I can.

Okay...what did you tell me? I picked Dallas and the Jets. They ( the Jets ) still played meaningless games last week. Unless you can show me FACTS that the Bengals went real hard at the Jets when they lost 37-0 your I told you so is as meaningless as the game was. Also the fact that I believed the Jets were going to win this week and I thought Dallas ( just looking at my picks ) would win this week makes this just as meaningless.
