The Chiefs go to 8-1 with a 37-21 win over the Browns. Mahomes has now thrown for over 300 yards in eight straight games, one shy of the NFL record and added 3 touchdowns. Kareem Hunt had a big day with 91 yards rushing and two scores, and took a screen pass 50 yards for another touchdown. Travis Kelce caught 7 balls for 99 yards and two scores. Big plays and penalties hurt the defense again but they made enough plays to win.

The Falcons started the day needing a win to stay in the hunt and pounded Washington 38-14.

The Vikings stay atop the NFC North with a 24-6 win over Detroit.

The vaunted Ravens defense can't stop the Steelers in a 23-16 loss at home and have now lost four of their last five.

Bears 41 Bills 9.

The Dolphins stay in the wild card hunt with a 13-6 win over the Jets.

There was not enough Fitzmagic today as the Bucs fall to Carolina 42-28.

In a game that lived up to the hype and then some the Rams taste defeat for the first time this season, falling to the Saints 45-35. Bourbon Street will be rocking tonight.

The red hot Texans, now winners of six in a row, squeak by Denver 19-17 when a Broncos field goal attempt sails wide right as time expires.

The Chargers stay just two games behind the Chiefs in the AFC West with a 25-17 win over Seattle.

Way to go Mahomes!! Is there anything this kid can't do? Only blemish I could see was the interception at the end of the first half. Inconsequential, but bad it has to go into official stats!

Bears 41, Bills 9? Do the Bills qualify for the NFL D League? They could join the Cards and Raiders and have a 3 team league.

The Vikings look good as did the Chargers. The Chargers are going to be the only thing standing in the way of a Chiefs AFC West crown.

I didn't see enough of the other games and as such have no opinion. I did see the marquee match-up where the Saints took down the previously undefeated Rams. Jared Goff looked like he had an off day, and Brees was Brees.

The Pack is in a fight with the Pats and it looks like the Green Bay D is rattling Brady a little. However, the Pack is a plethora of walking wounded. But the game is tied at 17 with 12 minutes left as I speak. I hope the Pack can pull it out.

If there is we haven't seen it yet.

At least the Bears are leading the NFC North. The Bills may as well pull some guy out of the seats and run him out there at QB. It can't get much worse. After the 49ers gutted the Raiders I'd say they are by far the worst team in the league, and it's not likely to get better anytime soon.

The Bolts are a dangerous team right now.

I was switching back and forth between Denver-Houston and L.A.-New Orleans. Have to give Denver credit. They may be 3-6 but they haven't quit. That was a hard hitting game. And they have lost four games by a toial of 15 points.

They had a chance for OT at least, until that fumble. That sealed it.

The Bolts cut Caleb Sturgis after he missed 2 field goals and two extra points. So they may be more dangerous now.

Speaking of, what is the deal with kickers this year, is this the year the NFL has put a hex on them? The only one I know who missed clutch field goals and is still employed is Mason Crosby of the Packers.

It has been a bad year for kickers. Who knows what's going on.

The Cowboys were embarrassed by the Titans last night. Jerry Jones said he won't make a coaching change during the season, and Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti said the same thing.

Jones may be too bullheaded to fire Garrett but unless things in Baltimore get better in a hurry Harbaugh should probably work on fluffing up his resume.
