The Panthers defense had Alex Smith running for his life on almost every pass attempt but he did enough to lead the 'Skins to a 23-17 win. Adrian Peterson is not running like a back on the wrong side of 30.

In the fog and rain of London the Seahawks thrash Oakland 27-3.

The Disaster in the Desert also known as the Arizona Cardinals fall to 1-5 with a 27-17 loss to the Vikings.

The Bengals just lost a heart breaker to Pittsburgh in the final seconds of play 28-21.

In yet another OT game Brock Osweiler (yes, you read that right) led the Dolphins to a 31-28 upset of the Bears.

There was no Mayfield Magic today. The surging Chargers, winners of three in a row, rout the Browns 38-14.

The Cowboys offense exploded for 40 points today in a 40-7 rout of Jacksonville. The Jaguars are marching in the wrong direction with back to back road loses and their highly touted defense has given up 70 points in those games.

The Rams visit frigid Mile High and go to 6-0 with a hard fought 23-20 win.

In their 21-0 win over the Titans the Ravens defense sacked Marcus Mariota 11 times! :wow:

Jacksonville gets throttled in Dallas and Jalen Ramsey is mysteriously quiet after the game. Now media and bloggers are ragging all over him to man up. You can talk a big game when you're winning, why not now when you lose?

The Chiefs biggest challenge to the AFC west crown is San Diego after their 38-14 win versus the Browns. San Diego is playing good ball right now. Even though it was a loss, the Chiefs have to feel good about the effort going into Foxboro and having the game undecided until the final gun after being down by 15 at the half. On Brady's scramble for the touchdown, Breeland Speaks said postgame that he didn't wrap Brady up for fear of a roughing penalty. DAMN RULE!!!

I bet Mariota spent a lot of time in the whirlpool after the game. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a few bruises after the beating he took yesterday.

The Bengals can't catch a break. They play well enough to win (again) and have one or two plays go against them and end up with the L.

Denver's offense is not good, and their defense is being exposed as leaky.

Saquon Barkley was a good pick, he is the only thing that is going right for the Giants now. Perhaps the Giants should have spent one of their picks on Eli's successor?

I know Gruden wanted to get back into coaching, but he's got to be second guessing his decision to come back to the Raiders. This is a boat without a rudder in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight.

So who's the bigger NFL dumpster fire, the 1-5 Raiders (who were lucky to beat the Browns), or the 1-5 Giants?

In case he missed the game some guy named Tyreek Hill caught 7 passes for 142 yards and 3 scores. By the way he's also the No. 4 leading receiver in the league right now. But hey, he's just a kick returner right? I love it when loudmouths get their comeuppance.

Agree on all counts. The Chiefs showed a lot of character and grit last night. Mahomes shook off his mistakes and was brilliant in the second half, Kareem Hunt had another big game, and oh yeah that guy named Hill again...

I'm guessing the O line is off his Christmas Card list this year.

I read today that Vance Joseph may be out of work soon. And you have to wonder how many more times Elway can whiff on a QB and keep his job.

Manning is done and everybody knows it. Except him maybe.

It seems fitting that Chucky is having a nightmare season with Halloween a couple of weeks away.

Can't forget about the Cardinals and 49ers. It's a four way race to the bottom.

Vance Joseph may be the 2nd head coach to lose his job, Arizona's Steve Wilks may be the first. Mike McCoy was just fired as the OC of Arizona and replaced by Byron Leftwich after their thrashing 45-10 by the Broncos IN ARIZONA!! Things don't get any easier for rookie head coach Wilks. He's got an offense that ranks last or next to last in every offensive category, a rookie quarterback behind an offensive line that leaks like a sieve. Good luck Steve and Byron, you'll need it!!

So, in my opinion, the bottom five in order from best to worst- Broncos, Giants, 49ers-Raiders(tie), Cardinals

Wilks may be in the desert but he's skating on thin ice. At this point there's probably not much Leftwich can do, he doesn't have a lot to work with. I feel bad for Josh Rosen. His confidence must be shattered, I hope he can recover.

That win may buy Joseph a few weeks, but not much more.

I'd say that's about right. We both forgot about the Colts though. Try as he might Luck can't carry that team by himself.
