The Eastern Conference this year is about:

Washington Capitals
Boston Bruins
Philadelphia Flyers
Pittsburgh Penguins (IF Crosby stays healthy)

If any other team besides those makes the Stanley Cup for the East, I'll shit a brick.

The West is WIDE open. Just on principle, I made my call Detroit over Los Angeles in the Western Final, but so many teams in the West are question marks this year that just about anything can happen. Teams that will make the playoffs but not go very far are:

Vancouver Canucks
Chicago Blackhawks
Phoenix Coyotes

The East is a lock this season. The West is a shroud of mystery. We'll see!

I just want the Leafs to make the playoffs. Or, failing that, for them to tank horribly so Wilson is fired by Christmas.

I'd also like to see them go undefeated against the Canadiens because well, Habs suck.

I'd also like to see Vancouver go into a death spiral. (Hi darkharp!!!)
