Ninja 'Tiana + Color exp

Yeah, right, like I'll get replies for something in this section. >:

First up, yet another modification to semi-original hot ninja character 'Tiana (like anyone remember who's she's based on anymore).

This one's got a bit of perspective, since it's meant to be 'your' viewpoint after 'Tiana disarmed you (possibly in more ways than one) with a katana and her bladerang.

The title is what she's saying regarding going for your weapon which she's already stepped on. The amused smirk was probably supposed to look more pissed off.

Anyway, enjoy (?), I'm thinking of using this char a bit more, possibly in situations that fit here. ^^

Secondly,

Due to some of my artist 'friends'/peers considering me a mediocre non-artist who's pencil work doesn't count as art and is not worthy enough for inclusion on its own (I apparently need 'outside help' cause I and my stuff sucks), I've started trying to get a move on another experiment, which is the 5th image attached.

I don't give a flying fig if anyone recognizes the pose I put Marina in for this probably 7 years old sketch (pics 3/4). I ripped it off a random anime/toon pic.

Experimenting with trying to get basics, shadows and some minor highlights working.

'Tania's attitude of wily confidence and her ready, aggressive posture are quite dynamic, ideally suited for this action scenario! The picture's story is involved, but perfectly clear at a glance; said confidence is entirely justified (I'd expect to see a decapitation in any follow-up image!)

Marina, my personal favorite of your creations, quite charming in color! The cool green/blue motif is nicely eloquent of the sea, while the fine shaded skintones provide a pleasant touch of the tactile. I prefer her this way, as opposed to Poser... the breath-of-life is much more vivid.

i really do adore your work. You have both coloring and inking skills that I must admit I envy, but even your penciled work is very well done.

I like the design. Suggestion, her hands holding the weapons more firmly could be a good thing. Also the right arms position might best be slightly different.
But overall i like it and the design as always. ^^
The pose one reminds me of an Ariel the Mermaid or the likes generic pose which is good, ladylike and all with a hint of naughtyness. Though you probably got it from somewhere else.

As for using it more... Ninjas is always + in my book. Ninjas + tickling even more.
I'm a big feudal Japan plus L5R fan so that probably partially explains it.
So go ahead and use her. ^^

As for the comments of others. You're one of the best artists on the board. And some of those here ARE professional (as in selling art, as 'professional' is relative. You can excell a 'big artist' while having no 'fame' yourself)

Personally btw i think i prefer your art over your CGI. As it has great detail.
Personally i like your pics best as in pic 2. Good detail, black and white but with well a more 'coloured' edge. And a topic like that. The last girl is cute and interesting but a bit 'generic' in design.

But enough of my amateuristic jibberish ^^; just know you have your fans here regardless! And quite a lot at that!

That's the main thing I was going for in the 'Tiana pic. An image/view that really doesn't need a story to tell what happened. If only she looked more 'annoyed'. Still unsure whether 'Tiana is going to get more work or not.
As for Marina, I'm glad somebody noticed the sea/water/ocean theme with her finally. As if all the pics and Posers and her name weren't enough, I'd think her color scheme would be a big enough hint. ^^
