In the movie "Big Fish"(Great movie) there is a town the main character visted called specter(?) where everyone is barefoot
Man,I would love to leave in that town

Strange movie...but very well done. When the lead character stops in Specter, a little girl steals his shoes while he's eating dinner and tosses the shoes up a telephone wire where there are dozens of pairs of shoes hanging. Which is why everyone is barefoot.
