Okay ... I'm kinda curious to find out which aspect of tickling TMFers value most :

Sight? ... or sound?

Say in some crazy scenario , you were given an ultimatum where you would suddenly become blind or deaf. Never mind any of the real life consequences of that decision ... that's no fun ... but in terms of tickling , which sense , do you think , would you choose to keep?

If you're a LER ... would you rather continue being able to hear the frenzied laughter & the desperate begging of the person you are tickling? ... or would you prefer to still be able to see the anguished look on your LEE's face , not to mention watching his or her body squirm , twitch , spasm , & strain?

If you're a LEE ... would you rather continue being able to see that "sinister" look in the eyes of the person tickling you , as well as all of the other nonverbal communication that goes on during a tickling-session? ... or would you prefer to still be able to hear the taunts of your LER & all of that enjoyable banter that usually occurs between two tickle-lovers.

So , in regards to tickling , on which gift do you place a greater value ... the ability to see? ... or the ability to hear?

Which one would you keep? Then consider what you'd be giving up. Could you do it? Would this be an easy decision for you or would this be an impossible dilemma?

Think about it ... & get back to me.

Of course, I would never want to choose between having sight or hearing, but having almost lost my hearing permanently, I will never choose sight over sound.

I think if you can't hear, you are way more susceptible to get lost inside your own head, and for me, that can be a bad thing.

Hmm... this is sure a tough one, but I have made my cjoice. I'd prefer to be blind over deaf. While I won't be able to see my lee spasm and twitch, I still will be able to feel them do that. And I can hear them laugh and beg. But if I were to be deaf, I have no other sense that could even convey the sound to me. Whereas with blindness, my sense of touch can still somewhat tell me how much my lee is moving around.

Id rather be blind. I mean im already wearing glasses so my eyes are already bad anyways, i can do without sight.

If i didnt have glasses already and had 20/20 vision id choose being deaf. I value sight over hearing anyways.

wow thtas a gutsy... and different... choice. i dont think i could do that. id rather hear. but why choose being deaf?

Sight. 100% sight.
If I couldn't see ... I would be lost. Literally.
I can imagine what someone sounds like through expressions, but if I were blind it would all be darkness. I would HATE that.

lol youd be lost without sight? i wouldnt be any better off blind than i am now, and i have 20/20 vision. ok so its not really that bad, lol

but i just cant understand the whole choosing deaf over blindness. i guess we all got our own preferences.

Why choose losing sight?

If i couldnt see anything this world had to offer id see no purpose in life (no pun intended haha).

But i could care less for hearing compared to sight. They are way more horrible noises than pleasant ones anyways. (Although surviving without music would suck)

i dunno id rather hear the reactions then see them. lol

Yeah that sounds great and i could see how that makes sense but you wouldnt like to see them move around? Or their facial expressions? Or anything?

(Hell yeah i got both puns in! I could be a writer for captain planet!)

can i opt to lose one eye and one ear please? 🙂

wait, that statement doesn't constitute a legally-bindingcontract now does it (perhaps with the smiley acting as some witness to my signing the contract). I'd quite like both my sight and hearing - but if push came to shove, I would probably trade smell, taste and the sixth sense.

In fact, you can have my sixth sense right now. I will sell it on amazon. It is a bad film. 🙂

Boom, boom.

I do amuse myself sometimes. 🙂

In terms of tickling, and tickling only, I would rather be blind.

In terms of real life, I have no idea. I suppose being deaf would be easier then being blind.

When acting as a ler, I would rather see her wriggling toes and flexing sole than hear her laughter. 😀

Since I prefer to be blindfolded anyways that's pretty easy now, isn't it? 🙂
In real life I'd rather be neither one, but if I had to choose, I'd opt for being deaf.

When it comes to tickling I'd rather be deaf but for everything else I'd choose to be deaf; being blind is much more of a handicap.

I'll also take sight, i have a vast file of stored sounds in my memory and could syn it up with the sights. hat may sound weird but i guess i'm just weird. Plus if i were blind i'd be paranoid all the time.

I thought for sure that most people would be choosing sight over sound , but so far it seems that TMFers would rather hear their LERs & LEEs than have to see them.

Eeeeenteresting. :sherlock:

I love verbal teasing, so I would have to go with no sight. Of course, that heart- stopping look on the tickler is always fun to view, but it's all about the mental, man.
