2019: 106-56 Lost NLDS to the Nationals.
2017: 104-58 Lost World Series to the Astros.
1974: 102-60 Lost World Series to the Athletics.
1962: 101-61 Lost 3-game playoff to a team whose name I won't mention.
1953: 105-49 Lost World Series to the Yankees.
1942: 104-50 Lost NL pennant to the Cardinals.
1941: 100-54 Lost World Series to the Yankees.
1899: 101-47 (American League did not yet exist; no World Series.)
 
I haven’t followed baseball in years, every player I ever liked retired, and one of my favorites was found to have used steroids [emoji20]
