I am assuming that a CD was released for the sountrack of "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"

I know I'm a little behind here, but I just got a chance to see this wonderfully entertaining flick last night, and I want to buy it to own. I would also like the soundtrack. What great American music! Does anyone else have this CD?

On a side note, as a digital artist, I found the documentary on how they digitally colored the film to represent the sepia tones of the Dust-Bowl era to be fascinating, but that's just me.

Dave,
That has become one of my all time favorite movies. *Gotta dig how well it represents my home state eh? The actors somehow managed a good variety of the accents you find here. Even Clooney -hehe* I thoroughly enjoyed the flick.

I bought the CD right after seeing the movie. If you enjoyed the soundtrack whilst watching the film, try putting it in the cd player in a quiet house. I swear the Big Rock Candy Mountain will change your outlook from anything to "digustingly happy" almost instantly. The amazing trio of Harris, Welch and Kraus (sp?) can bring you to your knees. And Odin...my OH MY....that crackly old voice crooning about the trip to the afterlife ...enough to send shivers up your spine.
I have it in my CD player right now....

Thanks, Joby. I remembered a post in which you referred to the music of this film, so I'm glad you responded. It's become one of my favorite films as well. What a wonderful retelling of Homer! John Goodman as the Cyclops and those Sirens....! 😎

I, too, have the CD. Not only that, but I was lucky enough to catch them all in their concert tour supporting the soundtrack. The guy with the lowest voice in the Fairfield Four is amazing. And the kid that plays Tommy Johnson is a great great guitarist and singer.

The concert is actually what's inspired me to learn yet another instrument: the mandolin 😀
