Yah I don't know what to say. I'm going to just continue not even knowing what she looks like so that when the time comes, I'll have no idea who she is in the movie and can pretend she doesn't exist.

Oh, yah, and LIAM NEESON YES!!!

I'm secretly going to watch this about 5 times in theaters.

yah he's going to have to save his daughter somehow in this movie.

I'm already lining up 5 different friends I can ask to go see this movie with separately so I can keep saying "Yah I haven't seen it yet, it'll probably suck though" and no one will be the wiser.

Loved that game as a kid. A $200 million dollar budget for a movie based on a game from the 60's? Cowboys and Aliens? Really? Is this the best Hollywierd can do? Sigh...
 
Great ! Yet another chance to see a bunch of cardboard cutouts being relentlessly butch while the CGI does all the acting OOh I cant wait.

They made a multi-billion dollar franchise off a bunch of toys.

Another sad commentary on the state of film making over the last 30 years or so with a few exceptions. I know, I sound like a snob. We like what we like, and can vote with our dollars. I choose not to give any of mine to what they are churning out these days. It's all good I suppose.
 
So Liam Neeson and...uhh...Eric Northman guy.

I'm speechless. Celebrities tend to be unkillable in this day and age so I doubt it'll kill their careers.
 
Ok ok! So I just realized that this direction Hollywood is going in is the most awesome thing ever!!!

Why? Because I don't know about anyone else, but I've always had this thing for making even the most mundane games and situations becoming the most awesome, badass things ever in my own imagination. So if you're some kid and you're going "B11. You sunk my frigate", wouldn't the first thing to pop in your head be "what if these were real battleships and giant alien battleships appeared out of nowhere and they had a movie that was just about battleships firing at eachother!! THAT'D BE AWESOME".

Well guess what little kid? Hollywood has come to the rescue.

And it's been happening for years. Wanna know where they got the inspiration for Wall Street? Thank the Parker Brothers.

At least for once they aren't just making a movie based off a book so they don't have to actually use any imagination to create a story. It's already been written!
 
I'm holding out for "Connect 4: The Movie"

This reminds me of the skit on "Robot Chicken" where they make lame ass games like "Hungry, Hungry Hippos" and "The Slip and Slide" into lame ass movies...they probably didn't think anyone would be that pathetic. On the other hand, nothing could be worse than the Smurfs movie.
 
This is why the 80's are still the best. Things were original.

Hollywood is a shell of its former self. This entire entertainment generation is nothing but uninventive rip-offs of other people's actual work.

PFF. I'm sorry, if you can get a small plastic toy with small plastic molded pieces that resemble battleships and frigates and turn that into a $200M movie, THAT'S CREATIVITY.

Anyone can turn someones book or someones real life story into a movie. It takes some sort of psychotically amazing genius to turn a $10 hasbro toy into a movie.

I will bet anyone that by the time the dust clears, it will have grossed $500M. I mean, it's Liam Neeson! AND THEY HAVE HIS DAUGHTER!!
