ok, so I got a bondage kit

Hi gang, this is yet another, "oh crap how do I do this?" type question.

So I picked up this rather simple bondage kit seen at the following address, probably looks familiar to yall: http://www.sportsheets.com/sexyslave.php

They have been very helpful in talking me through the various products and my local store happened to have this kit. It looks like what I need because it is simple, has teathers, and the cuffs are velcro so they can be undone quickly should my gf get uncomfortable with the situation. And before the jokes really start, no, we don't need the blindfold, I am aware of this 🙂
we'll drive a car instead! just kidding.

So, my question now is this: How do I tie the cuffs to the bed? I can't really afford to spend any more money on these things, so the kit will have to do. Can I just loop the teather through the cuff itself and then over the bedpoast? I have a bed with a frame on it that has four square posts, dorm-style bunk frame, remember those days?

Just thought I'd ask here, again, I wanted something that wouldn't scare her away from the idea of being restrained. as for yours truly, I jumped in the deep end and was strapped to the emobilizer at Passive arts! I thank bourbon for that one, but so hot and fun!

Good to see you going further into your interest!

Your kit's tethers can be tied to the posts. With a little hunting, you can get to a store that carries strap clamps (a camping store, 'cause they're for securing straps - if they ask a lot of questions, dummy up, and tell them you were told you needed 4 or more clamps that can secure a strap for supplies above the reach of animals, and YES, you have a sighted friend going with you. Tease the hell out of 'em after that.).

Failing that, learn a good slip-knot that you can use. Why a slip-knot? Whomever is tied will pull. A lot, they'll pull. That knot, thus, will be VERY tight. You want a knot like a bow, that can be pulled loose easily.

The clamps are just easier for some. I use knots.

You CAN make loops and fit them over the top of the bed. Be careful to measure the distance of the ropes, plus the cuffs, so that whomever is in them isn't pulled too tight. Ask questions to determine this. It's just smart to do it right and carefully while you're learning.

Good fortune to you, sir! Great to see you stepping into this. Do be safe, and establish a safety word with your new partner if they wish for one. It's a simple word that, if said, stops everything. Listen for breathing patterns and pause when you can't hear clear breathing (laughing is a good sign, but that silent laugh that many get is a good time to pause).
