I like rap

Not bad for a group of dockworkers and landscapers. The rap didn't suck nearly as much as the image of those guys rapping.

lol if that clip is the only kind of Rap that you know of, of course you're gonna hate it. That song was wack... and so was the video

If you want to check out good rap music with some one who actually has a foot fetish, Redman is the guy. He generally raps about his foot fetish and you will see nice shots of female feet in his videos.

Seeing that the above posted vid is a poor example for the thread-title; I thought I'd post some rap vids to give another view; each one shows a different facet of hip-hop. I didn't include anything "Gangsta" because that has become the definition of hip-hop as most people know it.

Going by the replies, as pro rap/hip-hop, I am not even gonna click the link.

I like rap, but mostly back in the 90's late 80's
 
Depends on what you listen to really. Any of it that's mainstream today will more than likely suck in anyone's eyes. You still have the good acts like Common, Mos Def, Tech N9ne(in my eyes at least) Outkast, etc.

I know I know, it's all a matter of opinion though.
 
The last rap song I enjoyed was The Ghetto Boys Mind Playing Tricks On Me. Some time about 93 or something. And that was that for me. To much disrespect for women, to much bling. Negative messages. Almost twenty years ago there was a great rap called Self Destruction. Major rappers at the time like Public Enemy made it and it was a straight up warning about the future if young brothers did not change their ways. Way music is today it didn't seem to make a difference. Just my 2cents or whatnot.
 
I love me some hip hop, but that was a pretty bad song. Also to the people saying rap sucks, the same could be said about many music genres.

Hip Hop began as a background party track for a blossoming street party culture in the 70s. Even back then artists were exploited by record companies for their skills. Politically and social consciousness ruled for a short time, but the companies as always won out in the end and dictated what should be mainstream. So, now we have an ignorant, loud bunch of fools who copy each others weak gangsta act because they have nothing else to say. The real artists are still there, of course, but you have to push the curtains of crap aside first.
