Old AOL tickling chatroom

This old AOL room must have existed long before I ever came online in 2002. I couldnt find any such room on AOL after I got this comp, and, furthermore, I know I've posted in other threads on here, that I once got a Terms of Service warning, for "conduct online", from AOL, for discussing tickling in one of their general chatrooms.
Luckily, we now have good places like TMF, where we can discuss tickling 24-7.

Yes, I've been on for a LOOOONNNNNNGGGG time!

I joined AOL back when they charged by the minute. I know one month my AOL bill was $200! I think I'm still paying my old AOL bills on my credit card! lol

Old AOL chatroom

I found the old AOL chat room back in about 1993 or so. I spent ALOT of time on there then. My screen name was TT1961. Don't know if anyone here spoke to me back then or not. I used to talk to a girl that everyone found really strange but for some reason I hit it of with her and we must have talked daily for almost a year. I had a great time with her.Her name was CathiInCA and also Cathi7. I lost track of her and have always wondered if she is still around lurking somewhere.
 
AOL Chatroom, Circa 1997....

----I certainly remember that room... Not my first involvement with the "community," but it WAS my first computer,....and that chatroom was one of my fondest memories. TklXpert moderating, right? DonnaFreak, Ticklemaiden, DBKatz, Chicago, and plenty others,... I actually got to meet several of those folks and, although I post here very sparingly, those of you who were there would remember me as Parisle,....

I fully remember those days, and ALL of those people. I was lucky enough to meet quite a few of the people from the ol' AOL chatroom in real life as well, and was never once disappointed.

----It was only a few weeks ago that there was a thread in here recalling (and reminiscing about) the "good ol' days" of ten years ago,... the pioneers, the early and awkward art-and-communications technology, etc., and I'm almost positive that the old AOL chatroom got a mention at that time. As a matter of fact, it was that thread which elicited my first post ever on TMF. I began writing stories and scripts, and participated in my first tk-photo session all the way back in '83,.. when the term "underground" could easily be applied to the community. Really exciting times.

I remember..

Alrthough I would not consider myself a regular visitor there, I was in there occasionally. Funny how long ago that was.

I remember DonnaFreak and DBKatz, too. The last time I contacted Donna, she seemed to have moved away from tickling-- or at least from me. 🙂 Does anyone remember Tkltactoes on AOL? Her first name was Tess.

Oh yes ...i certainly do remember that chat room ...it was my first exposure to people that thought like me .Unfortunatly, like others have said the trolls did take over ....sorry but i really dont remember the name i used then ...
 
I was there back in the day but for the life of me I can't remember any of my old AOL screen names.
 
When I was in high school my friends and I would make chatrooms so we could all talk at once and then mess with people when they came in 😱 One of the rooms we would go in I named "ILuv2BTickled" Kind of a ballsy move considering how in the closet I am/was about it, but I figured that it would attract other tickle-lovers and I could sit quietly while my friends went about their normal merry business, meanwhile I'd IM the guy privately and see if we could get a tickling conversation started LOL Yeah...I'm a tard LOL
 
Ah the old AOL room, I remember it well! I was rjscanon there, and still am on messenger and such!
 
I remember you rjscanon. As I said in my response to this post over a year ago, it's where I discovered I wasn't alone. Jugglertx, I remember you talking to me too and giving me the info as to how to joing the newsgroup tickling, if I'm not mistaken. Anyone remember a newsgroup called tickling?
 
Ah, the good old days. i used to frequent the tickling room. i always wondered what happened to all the female regulars. i used to be Etracer66 back then.

I used to be JC444 (or just JC). I remember Juggler and Winston (saw your note on BFSG, TC!) and Simon and countless others.. Toni aka Ticklegal...

It seems that back then tickling was a shared experience that people all talked about.

Female regular here! At least I was the last time I checked ... :idunno:

I was "BeautyUK" back in the good old days. And it is wonderful to see the names I remember from back then!
