I guess that means, it does not fit his taste - quite the opposite. I would say, that applies to most of us here, but of course it is a matter of personal opinion and taste 🙂
 
Content of the group aside (b/c I have no opinion one way or the other) the one thing that REALLY annoys me about Yahoo Groups is owners who make you explain why you want to join. I don't feel the need to explain my intentions upon joining a group. If membership is important to you, get rid of that part of the application.
