My Way by Sinatra, 1969. Long after the current stars of today are forgotten I imagne Ol' Blue Eyes will still be listened to. Does music really get any better? I think not. Just my opinion.

This one isn't old, but pays homage. I've long been a fan of murder ballads, and also Josh Ritter... I first heard this one by him live in Philly a while back, and got serious goosebumps as I caught the various references... It borrows structure liberally from "Louis Collins" (see above).
