On being tied/secured and tickled?

I have been pinned down and tickled before, but never tied or secured. I've given it some thought and I do at least want to give it a few tries. So I'm looking for advice, suggestions, and thoughts. Of course I don't want to be physically uncomfortable or get hurt by any of the bondage equipment, so what would you suggest? Also, what are some good and not good positions? I've thought that spread eagle would be good. What about being hogtied?

Yes, I forgot to add that! That's one of the best things about it. It fits any size bed so even on small beds, you can make it really secure =]

...and I also recommend this option. It's inexpensive, adjustable and reasonably strong. You can also tie the subject down in different positions, like spread eagle, T, I, Y and upside down Y positions. I just got one I'm going to use for the first time tomorrow. I'm very excited. 😀

that's what I use now. It takes less time to restrain...very effective and can be tucked under the bed when not in use.

first off, everyone prefers something different restraint wise... while we've invested in high quality cuffs, I still love the feeling of rope being tied around my wrists and ankles. Spread eagle is no doubt the best for a first timer... hogtie I would save for a few tries down the road if i were you.

I love being tied/strapped to bondage devices now but Spread eagle on a bed was always amazing fun. Silk ropes are really soft and don't hurt after a while of tugging on them. As the other people have said in this thread, under bed restrains seem really good/comfortable. I haven't tried them yet but I would love to, they seem fun and look like they can really keep me completely helpless 🙂

I will take my chances, and duck/dodge the bombs. If they want to be tied down(I will honor those wishes), or if they want me to revisit carpentry(stocks); it is possible. 😛

I've used silk rope before and of course the classic fuzzy cuffs (metal.) Easy and quick to set up.

Safety IS key. I am glad you are thinking that way. I've learned at the 2010 albany gathering that suspension isn't considered to be safe. You always want to use ties/restraints that won't cut off circulation or cause friction burn. There are soft leather like straps that are made with a faux fur inside lining them to allow comfort and safety.

Oh I am a huge fan of the under the bed system myself =] It is not only comfortable, Its also convenient and easily adjustable. My boyfriend and I want to get our own since he doesn't have a bed with posts.

I seem to remember seeing some videos where the ticklee was placed in a tickle device called a coffin. Has anyone here ever tried one? I think that my first time will be tied spread eagle.

I've also used the under-the-bed-restraint. Very nice and comfy. I can move around with no problems. Hubby just usually scoots me down so my arms go up more. The brute..lol.

Sounds pricey. I'd stick with cheaper stuff if this is just for experimentation. 🙂

The under-the-bed restraint systems everyone suggested are really good. My old gf got hers for about 25 bucks.
