I just saw the movie Knockaround Guys for the first time. I thought it was good without being great. But there's a fight scene that really blew me away. It starts with Vin Diesel giving a speech about how he decided when he was a kid that it would take 500 fights for him to become a legitemate tough guy, "for the experience, and to develop leather skin." Then when the fight starts, the song that plays over the extremely one-sided pounding is Romeo's Tune, by Steve Forbert. It's a really gentle piano-based love song, with these lyrics playing while Diesel dishes out a sickeningly efficient beating,

Meet me in the middle of the day
Let me hear you say everything's okay
Bring me southern kisses from your room
Meet me in the middle of the night
Let me hear you say everything's alright
Let me smell the moon in your perfume

The contrast is really striking, and it's one of the very best fight scenes I've ever seen.

Oh, I completely agree. The music spoke volumes.

I'm still waiting with baited breath for the final Obi-Wan/Anakin fight in the upcoming Revenge of the Sith. I've seen some production footage on Hyperspace.com, and it looks like the lightsaber duel to end all duels.

If we are talking fight scenes ------

Vinny in Chronicles of Riddick -------- he was awesome in that movie

Lord of the Rings "The REturn of the KING" ------- how that chick took out the large elephant thingy -------- I could marry that woman

i know its not like a 1 on 1 but those were awesome

One More

Three Musketeers -------- with Oliver Platt ----Keifer Sutterland

The last fight scene between The musketeers and the Evil guys in red---------My favorite movie of all time

I loved that version of "Three Musketeers". Of course, I'm a big fan of Kiefer Sutherland and Oliver Platt to begin with.

A fellow Musketeer lover. I though i was the only one that existed. I wish they would redo it with the same characters. Ps that evil guy Rouchfort or so evil. I'm bubbling the whole movie was awesome. And the women they were hot. I tickle Rebecca the Queen ---Constance make they laugh until they wet themselves. Sizzle

The fight scene in the Outsiders along with the ending fight scene in My BodyGuard are still my two favs of all time.

A couple of my favorite (most authentic) fight scenes were in boxing movies, two to be specific.
The first was in The Set Up a 1949 noir film directed by Robert Wise starring Robert Ryan.
The second from Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull with Robert DeNiro.

New saw my bodyguard i'll have to try and see that. But there is a movie with Jet Li called "The Defender" its about a man specially trained to stop assassins. He was the man in that movie.
