Only ears?

Last night I found out a friend of mine (Staci, let's say) is ticklish, but only in her ears. I tried tickling her in all the usual places (stomach, knees, sides, armipts, etc.) and got absolutely no reaction. Then another friend casually wiggled her finger in Staci's ear and Staci freaked out! I didn't know someone's ears could be so ticklish! Again, nowhere else - only her ears. Anyone else experience something like this?

I've read articles that state tickling has been used throughout human evolution to teach sensitive/danger zones. Also to warn against bugs and creatures getting in places they shouldn't be. So I guess her body has adapted to only warning her when something is near her ears.

I've enjoyed introducing a few people to having their ears played with. If you get a chance try using a piece of tissue tightly rolled up it will have a similar effect as a small paintbrush.

We were at a bowling alley and she wasn't barefoot, so no, I didn't try her feet.

Yes, she is. Although she is partly Armenian. You know we Russians are so mixed up in terms of nationalities 🙂

That is kind of strange if only her ears are ticklish, though I've definitely seen ticklish ears before. On the other hand, considering you only tried some of the usual spots at a bowling alley, if you had a proper tickle session where you were you could be more thorough, you might find some other spots that hadn't occurred to you before. But that's speculation.

Also, does she know you're posting her picture online? If you don't have permission you should probably take it down.

I have known people who are ticklish in / on their ears... and I have known people who are only ticklish in one spot (so annoying) but never only being ticklish on / in their ears.

My ears are so so ticklish. Found that out when my Girlfriend tried to lick my lobe to be sexy and I burst out laughing. Now she just does it to be mean and make me squeal. 🙂
