*&^%$#@! If you use OpenDNS server, check out because TMF and Images4sale are currently listed as "pornography" / "nudity". I was able to access TMF now just because my husband restored the original ISP assigned DNS, which is the least thing to be done. Other forums/sites are also blocked. :ranty:

Somebody please check out/verify. FYI. Thanks.

My ISP's DNS sucks and has lots of problems, using openDNS is capable of controlling a network site access. It also enhances speed of internet connection by having the capability to filter bandwidth hungry sites (say P2P networks like torrents, etc).

Gee thanks for that. We'll check it, hoping that there are other sites with the same advantage compared to openDNS.

You can use a combinations of DNS; you do not have to use just one or the other.

Your ISP
Open DNS or OPen DNS
Your ISP

The way it works is the top DNS on the list is the primary; if the request is not found in the primary it will go down the list until it finds what your looking for.

Actually I'm more concerned how TMF is tagged as "pornography." I guess the guy should tag it "adult-themed" only.

Attached is the screen shot.

Then lastly, as Images4sale producer, this has an impact on sales, especially if the buyers are using openDNS server.

If you're choosing your own DNS, can't you also choose your filtering scheme? They're accurate in saying the TMF contains nudity. But I think (it's been a long time since I messed with OpenDNS) you just can set their filtering to allow sites with nudity. They tag lots of different stuff: Gambling, politics, heck they even tag software sites, if I remember correctly. But you can choose which tags (if any) to filter.

Unless...areyou are trying to make some of the machines on a home network filter nudity? OpenDNS won't really help with that. (I suppose you could have different machines using different DNS servers, but ugh...)

I had this problem. I ran 'Spybot - Search & Destroy' and it took care of it for me. (or I wouldn't be here now)
