Opinions on something that's been bothering me

I browse Deviantart to find tickle material. It's not that unusual of a thing. And I commonly expect to find a gambit of stuff that surprises, delights, makes me cringe, and makes me hit my head on the keyboard. But as of recent, something came up, and it disturbs me.

Very recently, someone started posting tickling and foot-fetish related material on DA, but it's got minors in it. I'm conflicted, because while there's a lot of photos all gathered into one spot, and they all have been clearly gathered to garner to a fetishist, on their own, they're not overtly sexual. There's no bondage, there's nothing sexual about them on the surface. Still, it gives me the heebies just to think that there's someone posting an (admittedly, alleged) stash on the website, and I don't even know if I can report it or not because otherwise, nothing about the photos would set off any alarms.

I would agree... anything with minors (especially openly posted they're minors) is creepy in my opinion... not much you can do really, i know here you can report images since its against TMF policy to post underage material... dunno if DA has the same set up or not though...

I'd say, figure out what DA's policy is on minors - and if they have a rule similar to the one on the TMF, report the images and let the admins figure it out.

Well, that's the tricky part. The only thing that's setting off alarms is the fact that there's so many pictures with that motif in one gallery. The artist definitely has a tickle and foot-fixation. But honestly, the pictures themselves are tame and inoffensive on their own.

The dissonance comes from the fact that, viewed from an outsider perspective (i.e. Someone not in the fetish community) I don't know if there's anything that can be done to get the gallery taken down.

If it's against policy, that's a good enough reason to being it to the attention of a moderator. If it just bothers you personally because it's borderline, then just avoid it like anything else that doesn't suit your taste.

A quantity of tickle or foot-centric involving minors? Report it. A pic or two of someone tickling their kid... that's purely innocent.

Mildly upsetting. There are some vile people out there that would expose and extort the weak for pleasure without remorse. But, if no children were hurt, I don't think we have too much to worry about. While I trust DA, you can always click "Report Image" or whatever. Never be afraid to speak your voice.

Nothing wrong with being creeped out, but you never know, either way.

Just an update to you all on the topic posted here.

Recently, I got a reply from the DeviantArt help desk after reporting the aforementioned DA user. As I suspected, since the photos themselves were not sexually explicit, no action was taken, in spite of all the creepy photo titles, and the similarly creepy comments from other DA users making requests of the person. Somehow, I knew this was coming, and yet I'm still disappointed.

Other than that, I don't know what to say on the matter. Feel free to discuss.

It's horrible.

i don't know why that stuff is allowed up. Even here there is artwork for sale that seems very questionable.

This is why it's great that the TMF has such a strict policy on this topic (other than the advantage of protecting children, of course) - the TMF can never be accused of tolerating any sexual use of minors. Apparently, DA can...

I contacted Yahoo Groups once for similar issue and got no reply. I then presented the issue to an organization that fights such thing on the net and that helped. Unfortunately it is so long ago that I forgot the name of the org. but it shouldn't be hard to find a similar.
