heh, that's something that has always bothered me as well. Young Anakin builds C3PO but it never dawned on the robot when he (coincidentally) came into the service of Luke that he was back on the same planet and with another Skywalker.
Also at the beginning of epi4 he's working on the Princess' ship and yet he completely fails to recognize her when the holographic message is played for Luke later. I think there's a wire loose in C3PO's head.
Another thing mentioned way back on the last page was the complete glaring lack of chemestry between the actors in the recent movies. It's just not there. Why do we know Akakin and Queen Big Hair are in love? Cause the lines say they are? cause the embrace and kiss when they're supposed to? Yeh, maybe. But I sure as heck don't believe it. There's just nothing between them but a script.
So the movie is coming out today (thursday)? Don't movies usually come out of Fridays? Ah well...I'll download it sometime in the next few days...but I'm not holding my breath for anything spectacular.

my father recorded episodes 4-6 on HBO years ago right before he died, he wasn't into star war-ish movies, more of a war movie junkie, but it capitivated him, i'm pretty much completing a legacy watching and buying the last 3, my only regrets are that he isn't here to watch them with me. the graphics woulda given him a heart attack, lol.

Question for you, do they have novels that tell stories of Qui Gon Jinn & Palpatine?

I read the Darth Maul Novel, and was greatful to learn more about this character, but now I want to read more, Especially about Qui Gon Jinn. (Already read the novelizations of ep1 & 2)

I don't know the names of the novels, but I'm sure there should be some. Not necesarily for Palpatine, since alot of the enjoyment of his character revolves around his mysterious nature. There is a history though. Unfortunately, for him, its hard to distinguish what is official and non-official canon.

For Qui-Gon though, alot of it is Obi-Wan related. You sort of see Qui-Gon as a father figure and you get more of his personal philosophy in the way he teaches Kenobi during their time together. We learn of Qui-Gon's past failures and victories. Even in death theres something to be learned about Qui-Gon Jinn. How he retained his identity in the Force (something the Jedi didn't know was possible at this point), etc.
