I should draw Chun-Li sometime... recently did a one-pager comic on Cammy from StreetFighter, but that was Cammy vs Cammy. Maybe I could do a similar one about the rapid-kicking-gal as well (you know that move, do you?).

Hm. That is a very hard question. There's a lot of things that contribute I think. The choice and use of colours, shading, realistically believable poses and shapes, personally I appreciate characters dressed "sexually tempting" rather than fully naked, expressions, nice flowing hair, ... drawing skill certainly helps (although less well drawn pictures can sometimes be really exciting too if the idea behind them is portrayed well) - So it's also quite important to me that a picture "tells a story", puts some more info into your mind on what is going on. That's also why I personally almost always put accompanying texts with my picture (in comic or TickleTrap form) because it makes it a lot easier to immerse yourself into the situation. Someone being tickled is interesting, but knowing how the ticklee feels and the tickler, and why the ticklee is being tickled, and what has gone before or what is expected to come... those are all things that make something extra interesting. These can be mentioned in text, for sure, but also somehow "hinted" in the picture. This picture doesn't do that much of the latter, but it's still beautifully drawn and coloured. One girl is tied up (are they sisters? They do look a bit like they might be twins)... I have to make up the story behind this myself... but all the rest is there.

By the way, has anyone figured out where that THIRD tickling hand comes from? There must be a second tickler ....

The accidental nip-slip is a huge plus-point for me. 😛 I also like his colouring style - his pictures are bright and lively, but also easy on the eye. He also draws fingers really well, which, in a tickling pic, is really important. Expressions are another big plus-point, and as was already said just above me, the "sexually tempting" clothes appeal way more to me than nudes do (although nude/topless is good too). He tends to nail quite a few TV characters I'd love to see getting it, as well, which is a happy coincidence. Finally, I just generally like the scenarios he tends to depict (sometimes supernatural, sometimes techy, sometimes quite mundane). 😛

Each of these points alone might seem a bit weak, but when a lot of little things you like in pics tend to mount up like that, it skyrockets from "huh, cool" to "ooooh, cooool!!".

Also, I'm not saying the pictures are perfect. I could go into criticisms (like sometimes the thickness of limbs isn't always proportionate), but the good (which is what I was asked to tell) definitely outweighs the bad.

Well in all fairness to Lite, the size and proportions of the body parts are rather accurate to the original design of characters.

Personally i liked this series alot, i recommend it for people who like anime, horror and murder mysteries, as it's just full of that, plus the occassional extreme levels of violence and gore. Though personally i think the first season is much better than the second season.

Ilohnoh: Yes they are twins, and it's a rather big part of the story of the anime, i won't ruin it for you as it's a great series and you should watch it yourself, however i will just say that this isn't too far off from possibly being canon, and there were so many oppertunities to include a scene like this, but none ever materialized, at least not /f.

I'm going to disagree with you. Her fingers look... um... wrong.

Let's take the two hands on the left side of the image. Victim's right side. The one that's in the underarm's not so bad, but still... The index and middle finger's are not tensed at all. They appear to be resting softly on the skin, in a pose that's known to me. It's similar to the proper hand position for an electric bass player. However, they're spread at a strange angle. Instead of simply widening from the joint in a V-shape, as is most common, they're stretched back, pulled apart to form a curve. Meaning that they're not tensed at the tip, but stretched as wide as they can go at the knuckle.

Then the third finger is tense and curled to the side. Yes, it curves along directions that the knuckles don't move!! Whoa! Talk about messed up anatomy!! The pinky looks okay at first until you once again realize, that all of its curvation is along the wrong axis. Take your little finger and try to bend it out, perpendicular to the direction it curles. It hurts like Hell!! Then there's the mutated little afterthought that is the thumb.

Now, the other hand. The one on the victim's ribs/stomach/waist looks like it went through some kind of industrial accident!! Holy crap! Fingers going every which way. The index finger is longer than the middle finger... it's just frakked up, man. Seriously, that's not a human hand. At all.

Let's move on to the hand on the victim's left armpit. It's got an extra knuckle! Look! Just past the index finger's joint there's another joint!! Then the thumb is past that. Whoa! Five fingers and a thumb!? Wha!?

Now, I'm not saying this to be a jerk. I love seeing art from everybody, but at the same time I HATE when people gush over things that aren't right. It's not fair to the artist. Osaka-Lite busts his butt, and it shows. But at the same time, if someone took the time to say "Hey, your linework, shading, color, and expressions are amazing... but your hands suck." Then it would be known. Osaka-Lite needs to practice hands. And truth be told, that's the only fault I can honestly find. Everything else is flawless. It's just that those hands are so terribly distracting to me that I can't enjoy the image.

As for the positioning and all that, it doesn't bother me - I'm willing to suspend belief for it just like I do for his disproportionately thin limbs (a problem that plagued me when I used to do art for this site). The activity of the fingers, for me, outweighs the speculation that they might not be in comfortable positions. 😛

^Agreed, one of things i definately like in his pics are how active and vibrant the tickling actions seems, even moreso than real life tickling.

Fingers are some of the harder things to draw correctly though, at least in my own experience. I'm still struggling with those regularly. But having that said, I think the fingers do LOOK nice, despite of the mishaps.

Do you mean that the referenced individual isn't Osaka-Lite, or that neither of them are "Osaka", the character from Azumanga Daioh? You may even mean that neither of them are the city of Osaka, Japan, Earth, Sol 3.
