Hey, was just wondering if anybody from the East Coast was going to be attending Otakon this year, August 9-11. If anybody is attending or anything, let me know!

Otakon is a fan convention in the United States focusing on East Asian popular culture (primarily anime, manga, music, and cinema) and its fandom.

The name is a portmanteau derived from convention and the Japanese word otaku, a Japanese term used to refer to those with obsessive interests, particularly (but not limited to) anime and manga.

Otakon is traditionally held at the Baltimore Convention Center, located in the Inner Harbor district of downtown Baltimore. It's one of the longest-running Anime conventions in the U.S.; it averages over 22,000 paid attendees since 2005. Over 30,000 attended last year.
