Damn. I can't believe they gave him a year. That's too much IMO.

With his history,he ought to be locked up.Maybe a year with no paycheck will get his attention.The guy causes problems everywhere he goes.

I think he is suspended w/o pay. It's just that all the things he is being suspended for occured under Paul Tagliabue's rules. A year just seems too harsh to me.

Whoever was in charge of the NFL at the time does not matter to me.And from what i understand he has been suspended according to the rules in effect at the time of his actions.The rules are going to be changed to be even stricter,and include coaches and anyone employed by the NFL.

Its time for these people to understand they are not above the law just like the rest of us.This guy is a loose cannon who needs to get his act togeather and appricate what he has in life instead of acting like a numbnuts.

For Christs sake, he was involved in a shooting where a guy got paralyzed. He brings down the integrity of his team and the NFL as a whole

He is one of these glory punks who thinks of only himself, as seen when he decided not to finish college, was drafted 1st defensively and missed training camp for more money


He deserves it and hopefully he will "learn"

What was pacman jones convicted of? From what I understand he was only charged. What if these charges are false? I'm not saying they are, but shouldn't it be innocent until proven guilty?

What if the Duke Lacrosse players had been NFL players? They all would have been suspeneded for a year or more without pay only later to be cleared or all charges.

I wonder if Sharpton and Jackson are gonna march for Pacman's rights to bear illegal handguns and threaten people in nightclubs with them?

From what I understand from a Tennessee Newspaper, Pacman did ask and was denied by the Al and Jesse.
Maybe there is hope...LOL.
Or maybe they have had enough TV time for this week, but perhaps next week.

i'm glad Pacman got suspended. Every time you turn around, he's in trouble with the law. Damn, 10 times since he got into the NFL, he's had trouble with the law? This guy needs a reality check.

Gee, if Pacman gets suspended for a year and he didn't go to jail, what's going to happen to Tank Johnson once he faces Roger Goodell? See you in 2009 Tank....

Adam Jones has been arrested 10 times. Don't you think that it is time that image be part of the game??? It's not these charges it has been the trouble that this person has been in time and time and time again. When is enough??? I think that the NFL is doing the right thing. It is about image. They are not turning the other cheek. It's about time that everyone understands that you can't just get into trouble anytime you want then show up on Sunday at 1:00pm or 4:00pm and all is forgiven. Think about it, the Bengals had 10 guys arrested before and during the season in 2006. To a person on the outside looking in, they think hey these guys are getting arrested and yet they are still playing. That is nonsense. I think these guys will now think twice before they slap a woman around or run around with a gun. Let's clean it up once and for all.
